There are so many different ways you can make your team better on the margins, and the Sox are bad at all of them

Yankees are just so much more talented than other teams in the AL.

I think Houston and Toronto might have something to say about that.

If they weren't willing to go there for Harper, they'd never do so in a million years for Judge.

I feel this way about Toronto and honestly have the last 2 years. I still probably think on paper they're better than the Yankees, but it's very close.

Jose's like 0 for his last 20.

Woof

Jose has been less than worthless.  Weather isn't an excuse anymore.

Yankees got a 4 man outfield.

They turned down Judge back in the trade Q days.

Abreu down to a 632 OPS

While playing awful defense.  Very happy his contract is up.

Not true at all

Abreu, Pollock, & Grandal all looking old at the same time certainly isn't ideal

You know, this 4 man outfield thing might force MLB to ban shifts like that.

Haha, like JR is going to let Abreu NOT be on this roster for another 2-3 years. All Abreu has to do, is show any semblance of desire to play baseball.

They’ll bring him back.  #loyalty

Do you think Jerry would actually let him leave?

3 infielders and Robert hits it right to one of them

I think he might hang them up if he has a bad year

And he's our best player.

So glad theyre banning the shift next year.  Its ruining the game.

Hanging slider and misses it by a foot, DFA this dude when Eloy is back.

Would you rather the Sox have signed A Rod instead of Texas back in the day for the contract Texas gave him or would you rather the Sox have signed Machado for the contract the Padres signed him to?

The extra man outfield shifts are pretty ridiculous. I think banning the 4th infielder from being on the outfield grass is probably what they'll do.

I know he had some vague comments about that during Spring Training, but I'll believe it when I see it. He's the same guy who was playing all 9 innings in Cactus league games this year and refuses to let any manager write him out of the lineup. For better or worse, Abreu seems obsessed with playing and I think Jerry will keep signing him until the wheels completely fall off.
