Hutchison vs Kopech

The rule with Tim Anderson the rest of the season should be- if you’re on the roster, you’re starting SS and leading off every game.

This would have been a good spot to give Kopech a bit of a break. Bring up Davis Martin to start today instead of in Tuesday's DH and push Kopech back to Tuesday. Then let Martin stay and take his next turn in the rotation and you buy Kopech until after the all-star break.

Even better given that the entire bullpen save Ruiz is available to back up the starter today.

Gotta make sure he’s rested up for that one at bat in LA in 10 days!!!!!

 

Moncada and his .235 OBP is the perfect candidate for the lead off position today! I don't know why he hasn't been inserted there way before now.

No because Leury will have a couple good foul tips earlier in the game that warrant him staying in

Moncada as leadoff ??. He should be benched for Burger...and L. Garcia at SS again. Im convinced we are actually trying to lose games on purpose this year.!! Fire Tony now.!!
