Nightengale: Sox have clubhouse issues

Featured Replies

Original article:

Boob may be an idiot, but he has Sox sources. And I don't think it's a stretch to say this team might have some internal problems after seeing them play like a AA team against Cleveland after 2 days off from rain. If all this is true, it seems like TLR really has no control of the clubhouse. That was one of the things he was supposed to be good at...

Wait, so a team with an out of touch 77 year old manager doesn’t have a good locker room?? I’m utterly shocked

  • I know Leury Garcia is definitely in the pro Tony group.

  • I know you never agree with any form of White Sox slander, but it’s amazing your lack of understanding on a topic like this. Do you think Bob Nightengale just….made this up? The same Bob Nighteng

What a bunch of soft p***ies, like a group of red asses from high school who only allow certain people to sit at their lunch table

Nightengale’s sources are in FO, possibly JR himself.  May be an attempt to blame players instead of management.

If anything, leaking this is bad for somebody like the manager. Not necessarily the players. It's LaRussa's job to make sure the clubhouse runs well and doesn't get divided.

Or maybe the “cliques” are pro Tony and anti Tony?  I’ve got to imagine there is a group of players enraged by his shit decision-making and leadership.

In the group? Hell, he's the President of the group!

Abreu is as good as a clubhouse leader as you can ask for. I can imagine pretty easily who the source of these issues is if there are indeed problems though

Who?

Duh.

This was EXACTLY what my top worry was when they hired this clown, and it has been obvious all year long that this team isn't right.

My $$$ is on either Miguel Cairo or Billy Russo.

Sounds like a good reason to fire said clown

Exactly. This is my guess. Otherwise I have a hard time really thinking where these cliques could be. But this shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone who has watching this team play a lot in 22. A lot of uninspired play.

It's the same core of players they had in 2019-20 and there weren't clubhouse issues then. What's changed (rhetorical quesiton)?

This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone who has followed this team all year. Too many players look like they are sleep walking or plain just don't care.

My guess is it all revolves around TLR and his mind boggling decisions regarding lineups and in game strategy. I think there is a huge disconnect between him and most of the team.

Bob Nightengale is an idiot....unless he says something I want to hear!  Rick Hahn's lawyer skills are strong.

A lack of “player” leadership is the real issue.  Sure sure Bob.

I think we have a winner

TLR clubhouses always have cliques.

Morgues have livelier celebrations.

Hell, calling 2022 Corpseball is an insult to Jerry Manuel

this type of leak could not be more predictable.

Not that this is telling us anything we didn't already know, but there is really nothing left TLR does well if he can't hold a clubhouse together
