Winning this catastrophe of a game changes nothing. Unfortunately it does further delay what should have happened ages ago.

Don't get so down. They could easily start another double-digit losing streak on Tuesday. ?

It really shouldn’t come down to 1 day or 1 game.  His entire career of delivering disappointing results should be the determining factor.

Is there a list of released Sox players that they're still paying the contracts for?

Leury, and Keuchel, and I feel there are others?

Leury; Keuchel; Ruiz; and deferred payments to Abreu until 2026

thanks, I didn't know about Abreu, but I thought there was another player. Guessing Kimbrel was a straight contract swap for Pollock?

those guys you listed, how much total is the Sox paying?

Apparently finishing in 4th place doesn't mean you had a bad year according to Jerry.

Fourth place carrot is the new second place carrot with the new 14 playoff team scam.

No, playoff births with no realistic chance at a championship are not what “fans want”. Selling tickets to another failed season, 10th place pod / 14th wild card spot births is what YOU want.

You should have bit your tongue before shoving Tony La Russa down everyone’s throat. Also, you have the wrong GM and you know it, and Hahn knows it and the entire world knows it.

If anyone has any illusions about where Jerry stands on all of this, I implore you to read through all of these quotes.  Fair warning though, they are pretty infuriating.  This team will never win anything ever again with him as chairman.

Reinsdorf sadly has better instincts on player evaluation than Hahn...heck the George Costanza approach, but just do the opposite of that instinct, would be so much better here.  Darts against a wall or CHATGPT4 work,  too.

Regardless who the head baseball person is going into next season, these players should all be bought out.

The first one that needs to go is Kenny Williams.  He created this mess over a decade as the GM and ruined both the Sox and their farm system.  What did Jerry do? Of course, promoted him!  Kenny and Hahn need to both be shown the door; otherwise, you're trusting Kenny Williams to hire the next GM.    This team will be a mess until it is sold to new ownership.  Leadership and culture starts at the top, and this team is a reflection of Jerry, Kenny, and Hahn's lack of leadership and competence.

Imagine the Bobs from 'Office Space' interviewing KW: "Kenny, what is it you'd say ya do here???"

Reinsdorf: "Sports is a business of failure but the fact that you finish second or third or fourth it doesn’t mean you had a bad year."

How do you think Steinbrenner or Al Davis would like that quote? What a loser

There would be alot more Jerry apologists if he didn't do interviews like this. I would be one of them but he can't help but show his true colors.

Who is he trying to help by sharing?  Future billionaire owners?  How was he allowed to give this pointless interview that only sees the light of day if/when he says something dumb?

Jerry is incredibly lucky this fanbase is so meek

Milken is only for ego-centric blowhards who like the sound of their own voice and think they're something special ... Flying private jets to a conference and talking about 'climate change' and 'doing good for humanity'

Jerry fits right in.

That Diekman acquisition was surely awesome

Hahn has made some questionable move for sure, but he has made a number of really good moves too. Injuries have affected the Sox in a major way

Injuries impact all teams. Other overcome them in part because they have an actual minor league system that produces people who can contribute and because they were willing to acquire quality depth knowing injuries were going to happen.

Rick Hahn and this front office have neither a productive minor league system nor were willing to go out and get the needed depth.

Instead second base and right field remain black holes year after year after year after year.

Here's the bottom line. He's been the GM for 10 years, he has TWO, count them TWO winning seasons...and they weren't always tanking in that entire time. He couldn't even put together a winning team when they were actually trying to win.

Santos and Middleton are basically saving the entire bullpen from completely imploding...there's that I guess.
