I think they are 37 games under but you have a valid point.

You're right my bad. and I'm usually very good with math and checking my facts or stats.

If we can sweep this series I think we will at least be tied for 1st place. If we take 3 of 4 I say we are 1 game back

The Sox normally sink to the level of their opponent. They are the anti- TCOB.

If we win 3 out of 4 and twins take 2 of 3 from Gaurdians, we’d be 1/2 game back of Cleveland and 1/2 game up on Twinkies

Wait, I forgot twins play yanks again tonight. So in above scenario, either 1 up or tied with twins, depending on what they do tonight.

Picked up some 2nd row tix right next to the Sox dugout, home plate side for tonight for $60 a piece on Stubhub.  Look for the guy with the giant Irishman head wearing a spring training Sox cap if you want to catch a glimpse of JoeCredeYes in the flesh.

What's a giant Irishman head ? Please don't pull a McGuire in the stands. No one needs to see that in the flesh !

Hahaha, I'm a 7 7/8th's hat size, and the huge heads run in my Dad's (Irish) side of the fam, he's an 8+.  No McGuire or recent Mt. Davis tomfoolery for me tonight!

Unfortunately that's true, I think they've lost over 25 games this year to teams that have a losing record right now. 10 of those to the Royals, which is amazing.

Spoiler alert: the twins will lose to the Yankees

Yes, that is why Tony is rejoining the team this weekend.

Now that the Metrodome is gone it is. Something like 2-12 counting the post season the past few years.

Didn’t we win two of three there recently?

I don't like their chances of having a 20 home run guy this season.....unless they call up Colas ?

These games, where everything points towards a win are just the games that worry me with this team. They need to come really dialed in tonight and Cease has to be at the top of his game.

12 of the next 16 are against last place teams. The other 4 against Cleveland.  This is it.

Like Elvis used to sing “It’s now or never”.

They're going to have to have a 3 game lead going to the last 9 games to have a chance. Even that might not be enough as Cleveland is home for all 9 games and has KC for 6 and Texas for 3.

We need to root for the Twins against the Guardians.

Abreu has not been hitting for power.  He has lots of singles but has not been that good with RISP so his RBI numbers are also down.

The way things are going, Eloy still has a chance to lead the team in HRs.

Alot of people here thought Jose's RBIs were overrated but I sure miss them.

Pollock should clinch another $1M next season, just needing 12 plate appearances entering this series. Can see him getting $3M more / 112 more plate appearances with the Sox playing him nearly every day at this point (second on the team behind Abreu).
