  • For the record, I would love nothing more than this team to excel this year and make the postseason.

People act like the frustrations with the Sox are coming just from a 3-4 start, but its a lot more than that.  Its a decade+ of failure bubbling over.  We were promised a world series contender by Hah

  • Yep. Gamethreads are a trip.

Ruiz, he of the 'ERA north of 30' Ruiz's

Alberto is going to pitch again. Jerry must be so proud of this roster.

Understood, but you can't manage every game with the bullpen looking to cover 15 outs.  The team will be toast by July at this pace.  Lynn just needs to be better, he's one of the highest paid players of not the highest on this team

Your right. But the problem is the Sox scored 2 made it 4 to 2. He proceeded to cough up 2 more then they make it 6-3 and he coughs up 2 more.. And now this jabroni Ruiz gives up 2 more

The Giants fan the broadcast keeps showing is actually our new outfielder.

Im sorry, but the Giants suck. Their lineup is filled with nobodies and they are launching balls out of here no problem. Its alarming we can't do the same with the talent in the lineup. Something is wrong.

Becoming more and more clear.  It's a .500 team with no power and no ability to work a good OBP.  Nice collection of redundant pieces.

Talent in the lineup?  Not a ton of projected power even when healthy.

We have guys that SHOULD be able to hit 20-25 + homerun's and they just aren't for whatever reason.

Even the Giant's fans are showing up the Sox.

Not if they try to hit fastballs to the opposite field most of the time.  Timmy losing all of his power is so weird to me.

Giving up 12 homers in a series is probably not conducive to winning.

Beat me to it

Ruiz needs to be gone I really to get the desire to keep him.

Especially how they looked against the Yankees

Have the Giants hit a cheap homer this series?  Some of these have been as far as I can remember to certain parts of the field.

This is where Katz is making a giant mistake if he’s emphasizing command over velocity.  Between the ball flying and lack of shift, this could get ugly.

This guy throws BP pitches. Pedro might as well be Tony, Ricky or Robin.... Same bull crap.

Crazy too, since it hasn't even warmed up yet.

Sox can't even get hot with the jolt of a new manager. Teams, even bad ones, often take off for 10 days or so under new direction. Yet Sox so far this year are .500ish like last year. Lynn's pitching line today is one of the ugliest a starter can have. Can u imagine making that kind of money and having a line like that? Wow.

Good job Ruiz! By only giving up 2 ER today, you're down to a 22.09 ERA! Small victories.

And Robert robbed one and Joc hit the very top of the fence

I've seen 10 of them live.  All 10 were no doubters

At least this year I was prepared for the Sox being .500 at best. Still it is disappointing to see how truly bad they are again this early in the season.

All the same flaws have already shown themselves. The next thing will be a couple more starters going down to injury and then the wheels come completely off.

I don't even know where you go from here with this team. We all nothing can truly change until RH and JR are gone.

no doubter like the sox' postseason chances

This team screams 5 under .500 to right at .500 all year
