That was pretty bad. Bullpen held up for 3 innings couldn't handle 4.

I hate when the Sox get a runner at 1B because I have to see Daryl Boston's face.

  • You've been judging the Sox "on paper" for the last 2+ seasons, how has that worked out for you?  The Rays could not be more different than the Sox. They pitch incredibly well (don't strike a ton

The level to which you have to suck to walk 5 White Sox in an inning is insane

Same s%*# different season

They can still win 1 of the next 2 and not be swept.  Look on the bright side.

Or they could win the next two, lose the next two or go 1-1. Kidding. Just had to end with a little joke after that weird ending. Can u imagine being a media type interviewing Pedro and Lopez after this one? Ouch.

Just wait to get Moncada back. For a week.

Exactly. It's a rollover from last year. Going into the bottom of the 9th up by 2, still felt like the Rays had a 90% chance to win.

Imagine having a terrible team that grossly missed expectations, and doing almost nothing to fix the glaring holes in the roster.

He’s probably the last player in baseball I trust to perform well with an achy back

Let Lambert try the next month.  They have nothing to lose.

Might be better to trade him at peak value before another injury...

Once Colas struck out with bases loaded you could see this coming yet again

Their plan coming into the season for closer was literally “hope Liam beats cancer quickly”.

Like a cat toying with a mouse…

Success = paying a third of your team salary on a bad bullpen for your decent starters who lack command and have high pitch counts

Well, except Grandal last year... more an accumulation of injuries.

Need to trade him before he gets hurt again too.

Hahn should have had a better Plan B for closer once Liam was diagnosed.  Reylo had a breakthru last season as a quality set-up guy. Now his head is fooked up and ruined. Way to go, Rick!

And Crochet makes an unprecedented early comeback as well (so they can finally/simultaneously dump Diekman)...

Man oh man is that crippling. Once Diaz got the hit I knew it was over. Sox battled today; felt like a legitimate turning point at times. Hurts

Yeah, I definitely bet on Tampa when the Sox were up 6-4.

Peak White Sox there.

LOL....Just LOL!

Cueto was a great influence on Lopez, a lot more than Katz.  I still think they shoulda kept Cueto.

I think the pen should start the games and put the starters in the 5th.

Lopez has had one good season the rest of his career a complete head case.

The 7 key pieces Hahn got back on his trades, all are a complete pile of s%*# except for Dylan Cease.

Sure has been a disappointment considering the pieces he had to trade.  It’s biggest reason why this rebuild failed.

Well, the Sox came close to winning.

Banks/Scholtens wouldn't sell any seats in Birmingham or Charlotte.

And Lambert would be history.

Would have to be Middleton or Martin... neither idea all that appealing.

Someone want to discuss Robert's 0-6 with 25 base runners left on base?

We suck

Lopez might have given up 5-6 runs that inning if it wasn’t the 9th. His stuff was terrible.  Too bad the pitch selection this year continues to be a disgrace.

Or we can give it to the guy who actually has closing experience
