  • Losing was a lot more fun when you thought they could get a high pick.

Just for the record, I hate this extra innings bullshit.  At least allow one normal inning before you go to this garbage.

If this team loses many games where they give up one run or score six runs, they're going to lose 120.  Because they're not going to win many games where they give up four or score four.

The stolen home run the difference in this one.

I’m not even sure that was a home run like Stone claimed.  I think it hits the yellow line and stays in the park for a double had Meadows not caught it.

tough loss. many more to follow. i could probably ignore  it the whole year, but

my wife is a diehard.  the good news is i go to bed early, and night games start next week.

1-8 RISP

0-2 in 1 run games!

what are the odds this team sees .500 once this season?

0, we get the Braves next

Honestly, I don’t like losing in general, but I can take some solace in knowing that every L is getting us a little bit closer to the end of the Grifol era.

You can't lose them all unless you lose the first two.

A few signs of life. It wasn't the worst way to spend a few hours.

Looking at the forecast they probably aren't playing another game until Thursday. Thank God I need a reset.

Depends on how tomorrow goes.  Will get damn near impossible after four or five series.

Sox math

Multiple the paid attendance by the number of wins this season.

zero.

He looks god awful

I know Colas hit well at AAA last year and that it's a bandbox, but him hitting a homer today is amusing.

Another one run loss - shocking

2024?

Eloy has never been a clutch hitter. He'll hit a few homers, but his RBI total won't amount to much. 5 left on in two innings.

Padres

No walk offs in his career, IIRC

I wonder if tray enjoyed that first pitch pop-up from his favorite player Eloy.

Not going to happen.

These guys suck.  Nice trade for Fletcher.

He is 26 already, not a fan of the trade

Futures Game for Cubs?

The anti Carlos Lee.

The good news is they scored some runs

The bad news is the bullpen gave up the lead which I'm sure we will be seeing many, many times this year and the Sox again fail to do the little things to advance runners and bring them home. Nothing has changed in that regard from last season. The 10th inning today was a classic example.

Don't stop now boys keep embarrassing yourselves!
