Sox vs. Twins @ 110CT

Recommended Posts

We're about to take back over our rightful position as WORST MLB team, so we've got that going for us. Miami and Colorado keep trying to wear the crown, but they really are no match for Captain Getz and Lieutenant Grifol.

Offense stinks. Pitching stinks. Defense stinks. Manager stinks.

For the love of god please make a change.

I can't say anything that has not been said. Just a trash team and no hope in sight. Jerry should be ashamed of himself.

A's are actually playing some very fun and exciting baseball recently.  About to be 15-17 with a 4 or 5 game winning streak.

Season series clinched on May 1st.

7-0.  Six remaining.

From 7-13 to 17-13 despite losing Buxton yet again.

Getz might be even worse than Grifol.

Debate worthy.

Both Getz and Grifol should have never been hired in their positions, and the longer they maintain those positions, the bigger a joke the Sox are.

True but do you really think anybody else would have done better with this s%*# show and this owner?

6-25, how has Grifol not been fired? This is catastrophic levels of failure, professional baseball teams just aren't this bad.

That's three extra bases on Shields in RF today.

I mean really how long did Getz and Pedro think Sheets was gonna last in RF without all the misplays and extra bases being taken.   Put Eloy out there, let him get injured and then bring up Colas.  Sheets is a DH/IB and nothing more.  Only the Sox put a lumbering  DH/1B in the outfield and think that's a good idea.  At least let Eloy play his natural position, who cares if he gets injured and is out for the season.  I bet our DP and groundball rate would improve with him on the DL.

Exactly. Fire Grifol? Who is going to want to take this job and what difference will it make? None. Nothing will change until Reinsdorf dies or sells.

There are only 30 of these positions available in the world. The number of good managers that would take this job far outweighs the ones who wouldn't.

The problem is the man responsible for hiring them to do so.

No qualified person will take this job. Sure, Terry Bevington is available. Or maybe bring Robin out again. This team is historically bad and there is absolutely no human walking the earth who is going to change that.

I mean, statistically speaking, no one has ever done worse in league history, so Id think a modicum of competency from the GM and Manager would get a team to at least 60 wins.  They are on pace for 30…
