PaleAleSox
Seriously does Brooks Baldwin have a chance to be a major league contributor?
Autumn Dreamin
Good bounceback outing for Pallette: 4IP, 1ER (solo shot), 2BB, 6K. Dash lead thanks to Zavala:

In a perfect world, he's something like a Chone Figgins/Whit Merrifield hybrid. Just think that it's hard to project anything with minor leaguers until you see multiple seasons of sustained success. He's never going to be a power hitter, but if he can maintain a 750-800 OPS at the major league level, that would be incredibly valuable...mixed in with let's say 12-18 stolen bases. Timmy U
Chone Baldwin added a double. Playing 3b tonight. Currently hitting .360 with a .940 OPS.

The reality is that it's probably a 2-3% chance of coming close to happening...Baldwin has good speed, but nothing close to elite speed. And Figgins had a lot of XB pop for a little guy. Then we can try another comp that might be better, Chris Taylor. Although Taylor strikes out more and also has/had a lot more pop in his bat, but more in terms of his positional flexibility. That sounds a lot more like a generic White Sox player who's instantly forgettable. Brooks Taylor sounds too much like a golfer or Indiana high school BB player. oldsox
Galanie off the charts. 4 more hits. Sheesh.

And nobody really in his way for 1B reps. Also don't really see the need for three catchers on the Dash roster.
Autumn Dreamin
Ky Bush: 7IP, 2H, 1ER, 2BB, 3K. Only 80 pitches, lots of soft contact outs.

Autumn Dreamin
Hoopii-Tuionetoa (Grossman trade) pitched a scoreless 2K inning in relief of Bush, but Caleb Freeman blew a 4-1 lead in the 9th by giving up 4 straight hits including a double and a triple. He followed it up with 3 straight strikeouts to strand the winning run at 3rd and keep it 4-4 to force extras. Elko knocked in the free runner with a single, and Jordan Mikel (excellent name for a Baron) got the save for a 5-4 win. Gonzo was 1-4 with a walk. Baldwin 2-5 with a double and HR. Elko maybe starting to heat up, 2-4 with a walk. The Barons have the best record in AA.

There is no doubt the Sox are trying to take this opportunity to rig this team to win something as a positive to point at.
