In retrospect I feel like I (and others) owe Ricky so many apologies.

In all fairness, moving on from Ricky was probably the right move. They needed a better game manager and he proved to be lacking when it mattered. Too bad we ended up with the worst possible downgrade.

Anyone who thinks Tony LaRussa brought anything positive to this organization this time around is truly derranged.

  • I may be in the minority but I have no issue with them keeping Luis. They have nothing committed to payroll next year and no one knocking at the door to be an every day CFer. Also, I would consider ke

  • Oh no. Chris Getz maybe asked for a desirable target in trade negotiations. It's truly unfortunate dialogue ends completely after one player is inquired about.

Or better yet, where the GM actually gets to hire his own manager (AJ Hinch) instead of Jerry's drinking buddy.

they also hid the his drinking buddy got a DUI and while in his 70's.

No.  The Harper and Clemens failures were bigger mistakes.  They were face of the organization stars and would have lent credibility to the organization.  AJ Hinch or Renteria would not have kept the ship sailing in the right direction.  Maybe they wouldn’t have been as embarrassing as LaRussa, sure, but these young guys with extensions would have still injured themselves under different managers.

Tony sucked the life out of the club and the fan base.

If you mean Roger Clemens that is a good point (assuming you don't mind the steroid accusations).

After JR signed Albert Belle the Hendricks brothers, Clemens' agents, reached out to the Sox and said he was interested in signing with them.

Then G.M. Ron Schueler was quoted as saying "Roger Clemens is over the hill..." and signed Jamie Navarro instead.

Ooops...

They fired him one year too soon.

They needed a father figure for one more year.

And Clemens went on to pitch 11 more seasons and was an All-Star 6 more times.  Haha.

And Clemens won the Cy Young award the next two years and Navarro was the worst pitcher in baseball.

I mind the steroid accusation but everyone was using then.  The Sox signed Canseco and Manny Ramirez for crying out loud.

I guess his relationship with Mindy McCready wasn't out, then, but it was happening. Not that anybody seems to care about it.

Exited today’s game with possible injury, hopefully trade.

Has anything been stated on the broadcast? Usually the official Twitter account is pretty fast to tweet if it's a removal for an injury. But nothing yet,

Nothing either way as of yet.

He's probably hung over.

Hard to get fired up over the possibility of a trade as it seems very unlikely that Sox receive anything noteworthy in return and I have the bold opinion that it likely makes the Sox even harder to watch for the near term.

Freaking pathetic, probably didn’t stretch properly

My cousin just sent me a text that according to his source (it's a decent one) that Robert is gone and only a matter of time.  I would assume it's for a trade.

Appears to just be wild coincidental timing on the text and injury.

I don’t see how getting rid of the current version of Robert could make the Sox even harder to watch in the near term.  He’s a huge part of the suckage.  Although I do agree that the return for him will be…
