That was a beat down and wasn't even as close as the score indicates.

Huge beat down and they probably left 3-10 more points out there due to mis field goal and a few drops. Very nice win against a bad team, but a very good defense.

  • Honestly, rest of the playoffs are gravy. I will be disappointed when/if they lose, but they LOST 10 IN A ROW LAST SEASON. I'm all about making the most of your window, but they just won a playoff gam

  • Caleb sucks am I right?

  • Oh no. The football team I love might lose a playoff game gtfoh.

Ah ok, so it's better the Lions lost, I was being greedy and looking for the #1 NFC spot but just making the playoffs would be huge for our favorite franchise going forward. Gotta reel in my mouth breathing Bears fan inside me haha. Love the progress, more improvement needed with Caleb and the defense.

Yeah making the playoffs in any way is house money for this team this year. Seeding and getting a bye would be great things to worry about, but you gotta get in first.

The Bears have gone miles above how far they should have reasonably progressed this year.  What this really tells us is exactly how bad the coaching was before Ben Johnson got here, that there is THIS much extra winning in the roster vs last year with minimal changes.

No, that is stupid. The Bears have 10 wins with three games to go. If they lose on Saturday, but won the next two, they aren’t missing the playoffs with 12 wins.

I don't want to calculate all the tiebreakers here but my quick math tells me that even with a loss against GB they're still automatically in with just a win against Detroit.

It is astonishing seeing the records, NFC must have really beat the crap out of AFC this year to have this kind of imbalance.

For much of the first 10 games was still in a 'waiting to exhale' mode, with caleb and all of it. Finally getting to settle in and just watch good, sometimes great, and rarely bad football team.

While still so nervous about how Poles can take us to next level on d-line, it's hard to watch the bears in November/December and not wonder where we'd be without loveland/burden. Not eyepopping stats, but such a huge part of what we do.

Yup, a win against Detroit gets us in because they max out at 11 wins right now.

Any other year, it seems like 10 wins gets you in. There are scenarios where 11 wins doesn't even get us in this year, which is absurd.

Does anyone else feel it’s a huge win that they only gave up two sacks to Myles Garrett? I’m actually serious. Given the blowout nature of the game, I could easily have envisioned more sacks, especially BS ones.

Thought Caleb had his best game of the season. He regularly hit on both the eye popping and the routine throws, while having very few (if any) of the “what are you doing” plays.

I think there was one play yesterday where I was pissed at Caleb. It was the 4th and 3 around the Cleveland 45 and he had Kmet wide open in the flat for a first down. I don't even think he looked his way in the 4 seconds he had before he took a sack. Those are the drive sustaining plays he has to hit to take his game to the next level.

A lot of younger people forget/don't realize that the Patriots' dynasty paused for almost a decade in the middle.

KC is going to have to find a dynamic RB in the next 3-5 years (Barkley last year, J.Love in draft, maybe it's Bijan Robinson or Achane via trade or FA).

And Andy Reid is already near 70.

2005-2015 between SB wins

3-2 start exactly like KC

Then 3-1 again in their "second wave," and Brady at 37-41 years old.

Yep and I'm encouraged that Cleveland has a legit defense so he didn't just beat up on a scrub D

I think BJ is an excellent coach - but the online was significantly upgraded year over year. 4 out of 5 new starters with 2 of those new starters being tops in their position in pro bowl voting right now (Thunder and Dalman).

It was, and that makes a huge difference. But I think both things can be true. A great coach doesn't usually win with a s%*# roster. But a good roster can still suffer from coaching malpractice which can have severe negative implications on the team record. He's done a fantastic job.

Johnson has been both transparent and backs up his talk with the work.  At the bye he said “the running game is not where we want it to be and I’m gonna work to get it better” and he absolutely did that.  He talks about involving players in the offense and then you see the results.  He wanted to make sure Caleb stays upright and he focuses on opposing defenses and makes sure that the necessary blocks and chips are there for Caleb.  He has been everything you can ask for up to this point (unless you are Joe, during a game)

Anyone see the chip block on Garrett that wiped him out.  Was either Kmet or Loveland.

Earlier in the year Trapillo was a healthy scratch now he is the starting LT and managing well.  I am sure he can be micromanaged to prove me wrong but this staff has coaches that can do their job in places needed.

RB, DB, OL those guys are professionals that are getting the best out of their team.

Johnson has built a staff that is getting the job done and hopefully sustainable.  Johnson and Allen if they can stay on the same page can be an amazing duo.

After two weeks the 2025 draft was a disaster now I am not certain Loveland and Burden are not the 2 best receivers on the team, Trapillo is the LT for the foreseeable future and KM one of the top rookie RB in the league.

The health of that interior line should not be overlooked as to why we are continually getting better.

Days before their biggest game in years, Warren pisses on everything.

This is turning into a Jerry situation.  Veiled threats for some funding.  These teams are pathetic with how much money they have and are earning each year from doing dick most of the time other than losing.

If they want to negotiate with the legislative body in Illinois they can have a stadium here. They also should pay more down on the $500 million they owe the city for Soldier Field renovations. They only offered $25 million towards that.

They also should be more clear about what they expect from taxpayers. Is it infrastructure? Is it eating some of the cost of the stadium? Is it a sweetened property tax deal? What is it?

Part of me hopes fans start a "Fire Warren" chant, just because he wanted the spotlight SO badly right now.

Considering by all accounts he was the one who convinced the McCaskeys to open their checkbook on Ben Johnson, I'll give him alittle saving grace for now.

I do think to some extent with as easy as Jerry and the McC's had it last time around with a stadium, they thought they could just pull the slot machine arm and a new stadium would fall out again.  It might not be that this time around, so things might have to change for them too.

I both want it resolved, but I do get annoyed at the PR push. It's great the bears just want infrastructure support, but --come on -- they are already at a location that has infrastructure support. They are asking the state pay to help them move when it is their choice to move.

In my world, because teams do not commit themselves to the state/city in these deals, I'd prefer the world where the NFL entity pays for these stadiums, and the owners are leased to the NFL, paying back with interest the investment of the NFL and back to those owners. The NFL would add real estate to its portfolio which it could use to gain access to more money for growth.
But that' snot how it is, the teams beg for money then still threaten to leave. It's also an infrastructure project that has little utility WITHOUT the team...so it's just such a stupid world. But Chicagoland is certainly better with the bears, and there are economic benefits to having a team that go beyond dollars and cents.

But f*** kevin warren and the mccaskeys. Fans are being exploited to drain every cent, then they want their political mind too.
