2025-26 NFL Season Thread

Recommended Posts

Im going glass half full on this one. Winning on the road is not easy in the NFL, no matter the opponent. And winning in general hasn’t come easy to the Bears lately, so you take any W you can. They got a lot of s%*# to clean up, but a lot of guys need to get healthy too. Bye is coming at a great time for them.

We’ve just seen too many of these games where the Bears are on the losing side of it. Feels good to be on the other side of one of them

Kmet had an absolutely awful game and you could legit say he would have lost them the game.

special teams has a lot of work to do, it seems like all opponents take it past the 30 on kickoffs.  That last return almost cost them

there is some things to be happy about, Caleb and Rome have a legit chemistry that we haven’t seen since Marshall and Cutler

Already feels like Hightower will be replaced after this year.

That's gotta be the ugliest win for the Bears in a long time. But thank god they won cause I could not take another 2 weeks of discourse about how bad this team is. Losing while playing like s%*# going into a bye week is the worst.

Last year’s opener?

Honestly with as much of their defense as they are missing,  2-2 isn't half bad.  They seem to be figuring things out on the fly. Despite Crosby just torching the Bears line all day, and Kmet point shaving,  the offense still figured out how to put up 1 more than the other team.

When Braxton Jones was benched and Benedet switched to LT and Trapilo came in to play RT, it seemed like the line finally could slow down Crosby enough to give Caleb reasonable time to throw

What’s the commentary about Kmet mean? I had Joniak on and sometimes he and Thayer don’t say crap.

The Bears had games like this last year where they blew it in the end so it was nice to see a game like this go their way on the road.

I thought he was hurt…Crosby must have manhandled him.

It means he was terrible.  Multiple false starts and a huge drop on the 7 yard line where he could have scored.  He also had a drop on the sideline when Caleb threw him a ball that only he could catch, and it was tough but it hit his hands

I think that was mostly Will Levis being bad. I don't think Geno threw anything close to as bad as Levis' picks. Byard and Stevenson just made 3 great plays on him.

It’s nice to see Stevenson playing strong the last two games, no penalties, getting turnovers, playing against 1 WRs.  Hopefully Al Harris is getting through to him

Road win - ugly but a win. Caleb with the come from behind victory and he played pretty good at the end - stepped up a lot and used his legs when it mattered. The drops and penalties were costly and Caleb had a few he’d like back as well - but man much nicer going into bye week pulling that out - but with very clear stuff to still work on.

Lers get some players back after the bye and keep on growing!

That was a strong win by the Bears because objectively they didn't play that well. They are still making a lot of dumb, stupid mistakes and they had 11 offensive plays today where they lost yards. Yet they won and that's to their credit.
