I'm worried about Fedde and Kay getting pasted and taking the Sox out of those games early. Sox need to replace Fedde in the rotation. His 94-95 mph fastball often find the middle of the plate as it did in the first inning against KC.

Yeah you're right. Cubs may have a complete field day with those guys pitching.

The "setback" while running sounds like the hamstring may have been re-injured to some degree. Anyway, whatever happened there seems to have created another uncertain timeline. As a fan, I wish someo

Kay isn't pitching in the Cubs series, he goes tomorrow. They used the off day to swap him and Burke.

And Teel won't be ready, he played 5 innings at C yesterday and will probably only DH today.

Again, when Getz talked about his assignment, he made it sounds like weeks, not days. He talked about spring training repetitions, and getting back into shape.

Don't crush my dreams!

Teel looks quite a bit bigger physically than last year. His swing on that HR yesterday was beautiful.

Yea, he lifted during the off-season. I generally don't favor weight lifting for baseball players but that is another topic. Anyway, I hope Teel is on a plane to Chicago tonight. That would be a huge boost to the clubhouse and to the fan base.

Yeah, Teel should be on the team tomorrow against the Cubs. He's clearly ready.

It’s hysterical reading recent posts in this thread after I had shared a report from Anaheim where my observation of him looking near a rehab assignment and return were met with sentiment like, “His timing will be off” and “Teel won’t be up for a long time still.”

😆

what's the new report, hitchcock

Don't think he will be back after a few games haha he hasn't caught consistently since WBC. Only 14 innings on this rehab assignment in 3 games. It's more about getting ready to play the most physically demanding position on the field than the hitting part.

Yeah, crazy that people listen to what a GM states about his players rehab assignment.

They will want to see how his leg and body responds to back to back games catching I'd think. He missed pretty much 90% of spring conditioning as well so I would also think they want him running the bases in anger a bit and throwing as well. Maybe he's back next weekend.

Expected but i still cry

Getz didn’t imply that Kyle was far off during the Anaheim trip so far as I know and it is comical that a couple of folks discounted him being placed on a rehab ticket after I saw him raking in the cages.

Shocking… Soxtalk posters can be wrong and arrogant ( you and I included. )

Hopefully he will join them in SF where I’ll be for two games… and hopefully we take the Flubs down regardless.

His quotes about the rehab assignment are out there. Make of that what you like.

Idk about others, but I would consider coming back 2-3 weeks after that comment that series far off personally

He tweaked his knee last night on a swing and is out today. Hopefully just precautionary and he is okay

they're saying his cleats got stuck in the dirt on a swing 😞
