This season is beginning to feel like 2005. The coverage just seemed to come out of nowhere. ESPN started leading off their 10:00 Sports Center with the story of that night's Sox game.

A lot of those hineybirds flew into picture windows when their heads were up their asses. They don't know what to do with themselves now that they can't lead the charge to burn it all down and curse all things White Sox. Never could see the forest for the trees. It was quite the cult for a while.

Good news for the Dodgers series as Stone mentioned we don’t face pitcher Ohtani, and also Will Smith will be out.

Frankly, I can't wait until Ishbia takes over, cleans house, and hires a real GM to rebuild this franchise from the ground up, the right way!

Despite the Vargas bobble tonight, we have a bunch of guys who can catch the baseball. Especially the infield.

I feel pretty confident in saying this team isn't going to break their own loss record this season. They'd have to go 26-69 here on out to lose 100. I don't think that's happening, either.

Out in Denver on business and was at the game tonight. Left bottom of the 7th so regrettably didn’t get to see the walkoff.

I did still get a small win, though. Got back to the hotel and got on the elevator with a family of Cub fans. I accidentally dropped my key card when trying to unlock the elevator for my floor. With elite wit and a perfect delivery, I let them know “I fumbled that like the I’m the Cubs”. Ok, the wit wasnt great and the delivery was probably a bit rushed, but the point was made.

After admitting I’m a Sox fan, the mom let me know how frustrated she was the Sox have a better record “even without that Japanese guy”.

We’re living in good times, boyz.

Absolutely amazing, I don’t think I can remember a team that was made up with guys with not even a year as Major Leaguers and performing like All-Stars, Mune, Antonacci, Meidroth, both Montgomery’s, Gonzalez, Peters with our veteran Vargas leading the way while our other vets like Hill, Beni and Grichuk stepping up. As someone mentioned we are doing this without Teel and to a lesser extent Hays and Baldwin who I thought were going have pretty good years, especially Baldwin. The pitching was super last night , if we could somehow find a few more arms these guys could be unbeatable.

Haugh is gonna be salty this morning on the score lmao. It’s kinda wild listening to everyone watching the cubs fall apart, nobody knows how to stop it they just want it to stop lol

TBH this doesn’t feel like a year I have experienced as a forty year old ish Sox fan, so maybe 90 is right.

All of our playoff runs were mostly incredibly hot starts that they held onto in second half. There were those mediocre starts with torrid junes in 2009 and 2010 which couldn’t quite get to the finish line, which maybe this will be. But those were still the ghosts of 2005.

Would love to see a truly hot second half, which I don’t feel like I’ve seen Sox have save maybe turning it on in August in 03 (twins hotter and overtook em)

In what turned out not to be a sign of things to come for the White Sox in the decade, the 2010 White Sox won a lot of games (88). Unfortunately, it was still not enough to make the postseason. With the exception of the 90-72 White Sox of 2006, this was the most the franchise has won over the past two decades without making the playoffs. In his age-34 season, Paul Konerko was phenomenal, finishing .312/.393/.584 (160 OPS+) with 39 homers. Oh, yeah, and remember when Manny Ramírez was on the White Sox?

The 1983 Division started off slow and the Sox were 8 games under .500 in late May, they finished with 99 wins and were absolute gangbusters the last 4 months of the season, IMHO that was the best stretch of baseball the White Sox have played in my 74 years as a Sox fan but it all came tumbling down against the Orioles in the playoffs with Britt Burns losing the 4th game in a tear jerker. Going way back the 1959 American League champs played great baseball the whole year and were favorites to win the World Series but we all know what happened.

The morning after the "new" Montgomery walkoff, the Kap and J Hood show actually led off talking White Sox. Honestly I was shocked the radio home of your Chicago White Sox didn't start as usual with Kap ranting how the Cubbies "LOST TO THE FRIGGIN ROCKIES"

They also pretty quickly pivoted to telling Sox fans how to be fans and just enjoy the ride and don't worry about how much your team is being covered....they are not necessarily wrong but that is also pretty rich coming from those clowns.

This team is amazingly fun to watch and damn exciting. I've been a fan since moving to the area in 1999, and this might be the most exciting team I've watched. Obviously the 2005 team was something else, but the youth of this team along with how likeable they are is great.

They beat one of the best teams in baseball with the bats one day and with pitching the next.

When Mune comes back, there's going to be A LOT of power in this lineup.
