I like that the Sox presently have a good mixture of drafting, developing, and scouting other teams cast offs. Peters, Grichuk, Periara, Perez, Rock, S Smith, and Romo come to mind.

I am a prospect hugger, but I know the smart play is keep drafting and developing at a high level and move some prospects for established players.

For what it's worth I would be fine moving Carlson if his value was higher. There is a glut of middle infielders, and there will be another when they select Emerson or Roch in two weeks. I would absolutely trade him for some pitching but he didn't come out the gate hot and then he broke his thumb. I'd rather not sell low.
