We can revisit the Quero/Romo crowd's opinions in the playoffs when they are both still really bad at the plate. That'll be a fun revisit. Can talk about 2027 then and the looming short season/no baseball.

Seems like there is a unified opinion of “uuuuuugh these fuckin guys”, no?

That’s how I read the board lol

We have no excuse not to buy a top-end SP in free agency this offseason. As such, I’d rather keep Bonemer and go with a cheaper SP at the deadline. I truly believe we should not be doing “all-in” trad

I think he has some value. Teams would love to try and fix him.

He is 22 years old! I guess we tried everything and he'll just never work out.

BTW where is Sandlin?

I wonder if Hagen Smith has much trade value.

He's a 23 year old who has never been over 75 IP as a pro. He sure doesn't have top value.

I don't see a rebound happening. I do know the Rockies are desperate for pitching prospects. He can rebound with them if we can get Goodman.

Goodman would cost a ton.

Getz hates Sandlin

Someone on Twitter mentioned trading for James McCann and…I don’t hate it, necessarily.

Mason Miller is apparently available.

There’s a move that I think is a bad idea in my rational brain, but would immediately jump for joy and begin rationalizing the second it happened.

Look at the top of our prospect list pre-draft and kiss the top 2 or 3 good-bye, plus more.

I actually would despise selling the farm for a reliever. Gross.

If you are going to lobotomize the farm you need a controllable top end starting pitcher so much more.

Put catcher at the tippy top of the list with pitcher now.

Teel is out for 6-12 weeks. Way past the deadline. You can't roll with this group.

Yankees looking at all the top of class catchers...Goodman Jeffers Langeliers Rutschman, etc.

"Upgrading at the position will be an important move for New York if it can find a way to do so. Rockies slugger Hunter Goodman and Twins backstop Ryan Jeffers have been linked to the Yankees as the deadline creeps closer, and a trade for either one would instantly solve the team’s most glaring need. Shea Langeliers would certainly do the trick as well if the A’s can be convinced to part ways with the AL’s starting catcher in the All-Star Game."

sI.com has Sox looking for pitching help, after top two guys, says Kay has been serviceable but need more reliability/predictability to make/advance in postseason

Will want back the equivalent of #2 prospect Leo de Vries or even more...

Chapman off market helps the cause.

Granted, there could be other possibilities if the Red Sox are willing to pony up, like the Rockies’ Hunter Goodman (controllable through 2029). What might Goodman cost? The Athletic's Jim Bowden (subscription required) offered up a hypothetical package of left-hander Connelly Early, right-hander Kyson Witherspoon (Boston’s No. 4 prospect), infielder Marcelo Mayer and catcher Carlos Narváez in exchange for the Colorado All-Star.

Can basically forget Goodman.

Orioles want pitching help for Rutschman.

Jeffers/Caratini....Twins will help Sox?

Langeliers apparentky will be held by A's through inaugural season of new LV stadium.
