Teel going 5 for 6 yesterday gets me pumped. Add in Mune doing on the field exercises and we are about 2 weeks from having a whole team again. Just tread water and win/split series until they get them

They weren’t late inning defensive changes. They were offensive changes that are now on defense. You can debate whether the pinch hitting was actually beneficial, but they were playing for runs there

Quero PH WTF is this

Should have hit for Romo last inning

Why the f*** do you hit Quero for Grichuk (sp) against a lefty? JFC.

There has got to be something wrong with Venerable. This is too weird.

Oh my god the offense looks like s%*# right now

Lifeless today.

Colson just guessing up there

They didn't? Grichuk bats next inning.

Oh so they didn't move Colson off of short? I must have imagined it.

Can you explain how they weren't defensive changes? I never implied the moves were made only for defensive purposes.

It’s ok to wrong sometimes. Tomorrow is a new day.

What defensive alignment would you prefer post pinch hitting?

Hmm that’s tough. If it were my decision, I’d send down whoever you think you want to get the most playing time. But I think it will be Romo.

Meidroth pinch hit for 1b Gonzalez

Meidroth to SS

Vargas to 1B

Colson to 3B

So... defensive changes. Confirmed. Thanks.

Somehow every other team with an elite defender finds a way to keep him in his spot all game all year. Crazy how that works!

GOOD LORD ROMO

Romo is an out dressed as a baseball player, and Quero is not much better both below the Mendoza line, and bad defensive catchers and ABS challengers. TEEL needed urgently.

Who's trying to move Colson off of short? He starts there every game unless there's a lefty starting the game.

Who was hitting third? Beni? I’m half watching…half napping. 😂

Someone here before tried to explain why doing this (with Ant at 2B) is down grading 3 spots in the infield (yet it’s happening right now as we watch). Why not keep your MI the same and try Ant at 3B? Or stick him at 1B in this scenario and not move any of your starting regulars.

Colson Montgomery at Short and I dont care about any of the other positions.

Put meidroth at 1b. I dont care.

Yeah this is sometimes I’ve mentioned before I think. They just need someone else who they’re cool with at 3rd so Colson isn’t the only 2nd option there.

Who's arm would you want over there?

He's played a quarter of his game at 3B.

Against lefty starters.....

I don't really care about Colson getting innings at 3B. I want the players aligned in whatever way makes the team defense the best. Meidroth is good at SS but I suspect his arm might limit him a bit as a 3B, so the team may well be better defensively with him at SS and Colson at 3B than the other way around. And I think Antonacci's infield D is best hidden at 2B so you're kinda stuck with him there, IMO. Not to mention that you now have the advantage that Colson is getting increasingly experienced at 3B so it's not exactly playing a guy out of position. I don't remotely think it puts him at injury risk or anything like that. That being said, I recall James Fegan saying that a reasonable assumption is that the White Sox's internal evaluation of Colson's defense at SS is probably a shade less optimistic than the couple public metrics that have him at a top-top level.

Time for another fantastic finish

None are great. Sam’s played there in the minors, but I don’t think he’s that good at it. With the way the roster is constructed it’s a little awkward.

He's also thought of highly at 3rd by the metrics. He's like top 5 in runs saved there despite the number of games played there.
