7 hours ago7 hr Sox are amazing this year. Man it's hard to believe the sadness of the tank years has faded away. Sox have so much talent it's incredible led by my grinder faves: Antonacci, Meidroth and Banana Ball Man. Peters is such a breath of fresh air. Who the hell is responsible for bringing him aboard.Getz is GM of the year; our manager is manager of the year. I still say Sox-Cubs WS is finally coming.

I still say Sox-Cubs WS is finally coming.Dec. 19, 2025 Carlos Rodriguez has been named an assistant general manager with the White Sox, joining Josh Barfield and Jin Wong in similarly titled roles they have previously held in Chicago. They report to general manager Chris Getz, who has gone outside the organization to bring in all three executives.Rodriguez joins the White Sox after 16 seasons (2010-25) with the Tampa Bay Rays, including the last six as a vice president. He was promoted to vice president, assistant general manager in November 2022 after serving as vice president of baseball operations in 2022 and vice president of player development and international scouting from 2019-21. He left the Rays at the end of the ‘25 season to pursue other opportunities.Scott Merkin article Dec. 18th,2025TRADE DETAILSWhite Sox get: OF Tristan PetersRays get: Player to be named later or cash considerationsPeters, 25, was designated for assignment by the Rays on Tuesday to make room for the addition of left-hander Steven Matz. Peters slashed .266/.355/.429 last season for Triple-A Durham with 28 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs, 76 RBIs, 73 runs scored, 65 walks and 11 stolen bases over a career-high 136 games. He also appeared in four games with the Rays after making his debut on Aug. 8 at Seattle, finishing 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts.Notice how close the dates are even though the Sox got Peters the day before Rodriquez was hired I'm pretty sure he had a lot to do with the Peters acquisition.
