It’s the awful depth that Getz has given Venable to use. How do you not get another corner outfielder than can hit LHP? Peters and Ant shouldn’t be facing a lefty in a critical game.

I’m actually more annoyed at the pitch selection than the decision to start Murphy. He’s throwing 97/98 mph heaters against a bad offense, and he gets beat on two rolling 87/88 mph off speed pitches right down the middle. Go after these guys. They’re not good.
