Yeah I expect us to at least get 1. Not sure I'd be real confident we can win a series in Houston, but it's far from impossible.

Extra rest would help the pitching staff, but I don't exactly hate the bats being hot going into a short series.

3-game series between teams that are very similar in talent is going to be unpredictable. Home field advantage in baseball is smaller than any other sport (about 54% win rate for home teams) and it's smaller in the playoffs. Anything is possible, including of course 2 and out for the Sox.

The Sox blew the division pure and simple and need to own it because while they may be happy or even ecstatic over winning a wild card the majority of Sox fans are upset not only by the way the season ended but also by the way the last month played out.

If Venable plays Colson at any time during this panic drill the white sox will be participating in starting on Tuesday he (Venable) should be immediately fired. There was hope in the bottom of the ninth but Will Venable cruelly ended that hope allowing the opposite of hope (Colson Montgomery) to carry a bat to the plate and do what he does which is nothing.

Cleveland sitting at home while playing red hot for the past few weeks might actually be bad for them.

No. My point is why risk trying to win the division when setting up your playoff rotation was the smarter move. Who starts game 1? It's almost an auto loss.

I don't actually think there is much of a difference between Taylor and Smith. Very similar by the various metrics and Taylor has been given a much harder job constantly pitching multiple innings per appearance.

Getz and the front office failed this team. The acquisitions were suppose to help but it only hindered the team. Glad the boys still got in the dance, but it was of no help from them.
