They had both the Yankee and the Braves juggernaut staring them in the face

The Braves pitching was amazing. Three Hall of Fame with six Cy Young awards.

I know this isn’t the majority opinion here but if they DONT take the ALDS, I‘ll have a chip on my shoulder for years to come.

I want a banner of some sort to be flying forever in Chicago to commemorate this extremely special team and year!

LFGWS!!!!

I think these 2026 White Sox Whiz Kids might be a team of destiny and are going to beat the Guards in 4 games. After that it will probably be harder with either the Rays or Yankees in the ALCS so no prediction.

Who on this Sox team spent the entire 2024 record-losing season? Benintendi is one. Anyone else?

I think he is the only one who spent entire season. Other Players who simply were on the team are Burke, Martin, Pham, Fedde and Vargas. I think that’s it

If you also want to count people who were on the team at some point this year:

Banks, Leasure, Sosa

Is playoff roster out yet

The Braves lost every other year they went. Cleveland is the one team they could beat.

I'm just surprised with that many ALCS/WS appearances they couldn't even win one.

I sadly remember in 95 the realization that the Indians had passed the Sox, and they were now the class of the division

I read they are keeping the same roster as the wild card round

With all the days off built into the series that makes sense. They don’t need a 13th pitcher and having an extra bat/baserunner/defensive replacement makes a lot of sense.

M.Maldonado made it to July 17th

That Cleveland team was an absolute juggernaut. They went 100-44 in that shortened season. 112 win pace in a normal one.

One of the most fun lineups and teams in MLB history. But they never got the ring. That's a shame.

Damn, if my former data presentation boss saw that he'd rip that guy a fucking new one. You can't have that last column middle aligned and red on white is a no no. White text with black background looks much better on screens if you want to get a little spicy with it.

It's like a 12 year old using excel for the first time put that together.

We are talking about guys who were on 2024 roster and 2026 roster

  • Andrew Benintendi – the only one of the group to post at least 400 plate appearances in both years; a key veteran bat in 2024 and still active in 2026

  • Tommy Pham – traded at the 2024 deadline, reacquired late in 2026

  • Lenyn Sosa – in his first full 2024 season, traded to the Blue Jays in April 2026

  • Miguel Vargas – struggled in 2024 after a midseason trade from the Dodgers, then had a breakout in 2026

On the mound, five pitchers from 2024 were still in the 2026 rotation or bullpen.

  • Sean Burke – debuted in 2024, now a regular rotation member in 2026.

  • Davis Martin – 50 innings in 2024, now a rotation staple in 2026.

  • Erick Fedde – traded at the 2024 deadline, now a regular in 2026.

  • Jonathan Cannon – heavy 2024 role, but only two MLB games in 2026 after injury.

  • Jordan Leasure – 33 relief appearances in 2024, but out since May 2026 with injury

I AM SO READY FOR TODAY

And now the battle for true supremacy in the AL Central begins.

Sox nemesis,Cleveland, stands in the path.

Today, Ohio must feel the twin sting of losing to the White Sox and the Hawkeyes.

Go Sox,Go Hawkeyes!
