Neither deal was JR's fault. Blame him for everything else but not those deals.

Kenny and Rick screwed the pooch on the Shield trade.

Getz was given the green light to sign a pitcher or pitchers at the deadline this year and he signed Castillo to a big contract.

The point is Jerry refuses to sign good pitchers in their prime to big contracts, but he Okayed taking on the remaining huge contracts of washed up pitchers like Shields and Castillo, plus trading away players to boot.

Caleb throwing that OT interception was 100 times more disappointing than this

Sox fans have to feel as though this team’s manager has given us the shaft. It didn’t have to end up this way but then again I guess it did because our manager is in reality a lousy manager and evaluator of talent or lack of talent. This has got to be the biggest sports playoff series disaster in the history of Chicago sports. Nothing comes close and the stench of this horror will permeate this franchise for years to come. It’s the way that this series dissolved that’s unrivaled and absolutely devastating.

Sarcasm? They barely have any starters and were relying on the bullpen to pitch entire games. An implosion like this was always possible.

Makes me wonder if the first 2 wins were due to the long layoff the Guards had before the start of ALDS. A little rust and now back in the groove. These are teams in 2 different categories right now.

We need to get at least 2 back in this inning

Need a hell of a lot more than 2

I’m sure it’s been brought up - but something smells like horse s%*#.

Cleveland can’t hit a beach ball for the first two games and now they’re ripping everything in sight off Taylor… they’re dialed into every pitch clearly knowing what’s coming… their runners on second are relaying location too.

For these two games they’ve known what has been coming and it hasn’t just been against Grant.

Somethings up.

Can you name the two hitters on the Sox outperforming their OPS from the regular season during the postseason?

Mune needs to provide the spark

I get your point but doesn't he have the right to rely on his management to make baseball personnel decisions?

But not tonight so far. He has a more intimidating mound presence and has better stuff than Kay. IMO.

Being 6'9 helps

He couldn’t throw his fastball for a strike. Also, these guys have seen him and Hagen a ton now.

And Venable showing he’s in over his head. Wednesday’s game was managed like a throw away game.

Hell of an at bat there Mune

Atta boy Sam use the last challenge

Hagen, yes… he didn’t have the zone. Taylor… there’s more to it.

Feels like this team has no fight left.

We saved it for that crucial 7th inning down by 5 and with no one on.

Yeah cause the Bears had a legit chance to go to the Superbowl last year.

Going quietly in the night.

Hoping for a miracle in Cleveland.

They are short at least two good pitchers and Mune has been disappointing.

And how long will it take before Venable strips Teel of his ABS privileges before the 7th inning

They’ve packed it in for Saturday
