Vargas is clearly hurt. Colson just isn’t making enough contact. Antonacci’s power disappeared the second half of the year, and Peters can’t drive anything. Not a lot of power options right now.

Grant has struggled against Cleveland all season. He was really good in game 1 because of the shadows. Cleveland couldn't pick up his curveball at all cause they couldn't see s%*#. The first 2 innings of that outing weren't amazing. Once the shadows came in he was unhittable.

As we saw with game 2, they were all over him and we got lucky with Adell's fly ball hitting off the 20 foot wall.

Look at the difference between our deadline acquisitions and theirs…. Castillo, Brazelban and Doyle? Compared to what Adell and their pitching pickup have contributed…. Night and day.

Of course he does. But he is adamant about not giving huge contracts to free agent pitchers in their prime. But he has no problem when his GMs want to take on the remainder of huge contracts after the pitchers are all washed up. I just see the irony in it.

I don't care if Randy Johnson is pitching Saturday. If Sam is not leading off, Will needs to be relieved of his duties before the game starts.
