Funny that Jerry doesn't believe in giving good pitchers big contracts but doesn't seem to mind taking on terrible contracts of washed up pitchers like Shields and Castillo.

We didn't even get a subsidy this time around

which still cost Erik Johnson and Tatis, Jr.

I don't think CLE has beaten us 3 in a row all year so....

Vargas not hitting anything

That's an awful lot of confidence in Cholowsky.

Better be right this time.

It seems Murakami has at least redeemed himself down the stretch...so there's that at least.

Teams are simply learning not to let Vargas beat them.

If Cholowsky busts you have bigger problems than shipping out Colson, but they have Bonemer as well who can fill the SS role and do what Colson currently is doing

I don’t think there’s any combination of pitchers Venable could have used today that would have been effective

Yeah this was just a complete collapse besides Fedde.

Pathetic to have 2 games with fired up home crowd and piss down your leg.

Trying to stay optimistic but giving up 18 runs to the worst hitting team in your own division in two home playoff games is just inexcusable

And easily about a dozen of those were gifted by either walks or bad defense

Why the f*** did we leave Taylor in that long when he was cooked? So stupid. He's probably going to be trash again tomorrow.

No game Friday

Pathetic. Can't win one fucking game at home where we have been good.

Announcers are giddy about the Guardians

Im heading to bed. We'll get em. Sat pm

Maybe you are right but Kay was a sure disaster for three hitters, take our chances with Hudson instead. At any rate, our failure to score more runs, lack of hitting any home runs, and abundant strike outs doomed us.

God damn I hope we smoke them on Saturday. At least if we lose they’ll probably get swept by the Rays.

I'd actually open Newcomb for Burke on Saturday

Id like to just use a starting pitcher like a normal goddamn team.

I'm with @fathom on Braden. Trade his ass if somebody will give you a decent piece back. Ideally for pitching. Put Bonemer out there if he shows he can handle CF.

Darling just said that the umps have been phenomenal lmao

If it’s Rays vs Guardians, I won’t watch much of that series. Clearly rooting for Rays though.

Sign Seiya

So the pitching for game 5 will be Newcomb, Burke, and Hicks don’t know who else would be available…Schultz/Sandlin but you certainly can’t trust them in a game 5 winner take all

Sox are showing they don’t belong. You can’t patchwork your way to a title. Teams use openers in certain instances, like injuries, doubleheaders, or certain playoff instances. For us it was standard protocol.
