Bullpen is out of gas. Need a miracle from Burke on Saturday.

So the pitching for game 5 will be Newcomb, Burke, and Hicks don’t know who else would be available…Schultz/Sandlin but you certainly can’t trust them in a game 5 winner take all

Schultz and Taylor

Funny that Jerry doesn't believe in giving good pitchers big contracts but doesn't seem to mind taking on terrible contracts of washed up pitchers like Shields and Castillo.

Neither deal was JR's fault. Blame him for everything else but not those deals.

Kenny and Rick screwed the pooch on the Shield trade.

Getz was given the green light to sign a pitcher or pitchers at the deadline this year and he signed Castillo to a big contract.

Sox fans have to feel as though this team’s manager has given us the shaft. It didn’t have to end up this way but then again I guess it did because our manager is in reality a lousy manager and evaluator of talent or lack of talent. This has got to be the biggest sports playoff series disaster in the history of Chicago sports. Nothing comes close and the stench of this horror will permeate this franchise for years to come. It’s the way that this series dissolved that’s unrivaled and absolutely devastating.

And easily about a dozen of those were gifted by either walks or bad defense

And bad managing by Will.

Heard that. Have we been watching the same game?

Sign Seiya

Good idea. He gets to stay in Chicago and play next to Mune, too. I'd imagine this would be one of his top choices.

No game Friday

Some dude at work told me the game was tomorrow. Christ. That's good news.

Sox are showing they don’t belong. You can’t patchwork your way to a title. Teams use openers in certain instances, like injuries, doubleheaders, or certain playoff instances. For us it was standard protocol.

wtf, usually I’m negative one, but they won 4 games this postseason. Win or lose Saturday, they definitely belong.

You trust Taylor after what you just watched? I don’t.

We don't play tomorrow

I was lied to by a guy at work. Son of a b****. I told him it wasn't until Saturday.

Braden supporters will not agree...just wish his overall defense was better.

Strong arm, but consistently correct reads and speed/burst still lacking from all that milb time in CF.

I trust him a hell of a lot more than our other options.

I trust Sam Antonocci. Everyone else is suspect.

We need pitching bad. They'll have to trade some of our young players realistically.

Yeah, this is far worse than the Cubs losing in 2003 after being up 3-1 with Prior and Wood lurking.

These last 2 games are exactly why I was wanting Richards on this roster instead of Pham…sure coulda used his arm in mop up duty yesterday/today

Ironic timing for Hudson to have his best inning in a while

I would like to see them put up a bit of a fight here.

Hudson getting hit hard but at least he’s getting outs I guess

Not even close.

We need to get at least 2 back in this inning

That was sarcasm

Hudson has been horrendous for a long time

But not tonight so far. He has a more intimidating mound presence and has better stuff than Kay. IMO.
