To be fair to Venable...a Manager's job is easier when you have quality arms that can get you a bunch of innings. Sox really don't have much to choose, it's not all on him. GM 4 though, Hudson is running in fumes and we all knew he was gonna implode.

We got 4 pretty good innings out of Fedde. Can't really blame the bulk guy not doing well. It was the rest of the bullpen, especially the high leverage guys in Hicks and Taylor that s%*# the bed today. That's why it feels so defeating. Our best guys got their ass kicked today in a game where we had a lead in the 6th.

Thety are a mid team, with maybe 1 legit starter, and they are 4-2 in the playoffs. It's worked fine. They just don't have enough pitching no matter when you put them in the game.

Will gave Cleveland the division and he is doing his best to give them the playoff series

They haven't really been losing to Cleveland's starters, they've been losing mostly to giving them free bases in the middle innings and not cashing in their own baserunners due to a mix of poor BABIP and poor approach

Venable did choose to bring in Hicks to face a guy who was literally batting .1000 against him lifetime. And still is 😂
