  1. 1. If we had to choose, would you rather bring back Thome or Dye?

Peanut butter and jelly. I just smoked a Cecil Fielder sized blunt and I have the munchies.

dude ive been jobless for 3 months and havent smoked in 2, i think us sox fans need to stick together and hang out more so why dont you and that blunts son come over to Cal City and we talk sox.....

On a side note im all for a Jim Thome/Andruw Jones platoon.

There's a chance we are underrating Dye and possibly missing out on a great year (yeah, duh that's with everyone.) I, too, was just sick as hell of him after that second half. But recently, I can't help but think about how pissed I was he didn't make the all-star team. If we took a flyer on him, I'll hold my tongue...possibly my nose as well. But I just have to wonder if Jim really has another year left in him.

There's no chance Dye is coming back. I'd take Thome back but I really do prefer the idea of not having a DH that can't play the field for this team unless he was a real stud.

Exactly, Thome is no stud by any means. As long as he NEVER plays against a lefty, I'll take his 2 strikeouts, 1 weak selfish groundout to the shift, no speed, and 1 walk per game against good pitching, and his 3 for 4 with a HR once a week during a blowout.

I would say Jim Thome has been a clutch player and you are throwing out a bulls*** hypothetical scenario that I'm sure has happened but, according to the numbers, really hasn't happened that often in the past 4 seasons.

White Sox DH Jim Thome hands starter Mark Buehrle the game ball before the Opening Day matchup between the White Sox and the Indians.

:lolhitting I get the joke, but if Thome looked like that he'd either set a new record for inside-the-parkers or walks.

...or inside the parks on walks.
