  1. Past hour

  2. I like the idea of 154 games with a day off in the week.
  3. That can’t be right, but what the hell.
  4. Seeing the consequences of Castillo providing virtually nothing post-trade.
  5. I am channeling Dan Aykroyd & John Cleese.
  6. No fucking around with Burke on the mound.
  7. He couldn't throw strikes on the corners so he had to start grooving the ball down the middle or on fat parts of the plate.
  8. Well said. I think Burke will pitch well tomorrow. He’s been nails on the road all year, and most importantly won’t walk every other batter.
  9. Having 2 starters (bulk guys?) isn’t sustainable throughout an entire post-season. Fortunately, one of those guys goes Game 5. Just start him. No opener.
  10. That 9th gave me a genuine glimmer of hope on an otherwise dark night. We can get to Williams. Need a strong outing from Burke. Let’s go
  11. Cleveland’s pitching situation is just as dire as ours currently so it’s impossible to predict. Just win.
  12. The Sox are going to win in Cleveland; Burke and the bats get it done.
  13. Might want to fix that date. What’s 10x10? 100!!!!
  14. Is Grant Taylor gassed or hurt?
  15. Your entire schtick here has been everything you are pretending to be against. You have been loud, arrogant, self-serving, selfish, misleading, and flat out lying at points. The fact you have the audacity to project on to someone else, exactly what YOU have been doing by polluting every single stand of remotely intelligent discussion in this thread with your propaganda, flat out lies, and even legally defined slander at multiple points, should disqualify you from ever speaking on this topic, and anyone else involved in it, EVER again. Your hypocrisy is only surpassed by the audacity of your agenda in assuming the complete and utter ignorance of your intended audience. You aren't bringing anyone to your side, but in fact turning anyone remotely on the fence against you with your insane fantasies and made up fugue states. It's bad enough you make up whatever you want about public figures, but I won't let you to do to other members of Soxtalk. Grow up and come back when you have a shred of intellectual integrity.
  16. This team is never taken the easy road all year. They thrive when they are counted out.......let's hope that continues.
  17. Today

  18. It’s been a fun season boys…..who knows when we see a game again….so If you are going to go out….go out with a bang
  19. Getz is not perfect but people wanting to fire him are crazy. He probably should and will win GM of the year
  20. Jerry isnt going to fire Getz. He got that carret Jerry talks about for second place and also got him playoff games money too. Exactly what Jerry wants.
  21. I mean Getz did exactly what he wanted to do this season with the roster and the farm with near perfect execution. And he’s on the doorstep of the ALCS with big team over performance for the ages. Fire him? Extend him.
  22. Ok, you think the Sox are going to rock a $100M payroll next year after making the playoffs and seeing a huge increase in attendance and fan interest? Just for perspective, the median payroll in baseball this year is $175M. And MLB is pushing for a minimum payroll of like $170M. But yes, the White Sox will break all historical precedents and rock a bottom payroll after making a playoff run.
  23. There's only one Chris Getz out there
  24. I dont celebrate failure, so thanks. Youve made some awful takes recently but I would not ever say that
  25. There's no doubt this pitching staff is gassed. Taylor and Smith for sure are on fumes. On paper, the deadline trades gave the Sox arms for the postseason. That obviously did not work...at all. We just need a few more innings from a few guys, giving up minimal runs and hope the offense does enough. Regardless of the outcome, it's been an amazing season. If it was any other team but the damn Guardians, I wouldn't care as much. But I hope they go into Cleveland and play like they did in games 1 and 2. Then cover the visiting locker room in champagne and beer again.
