  1. Past hour

  2. I follow the Mets as they are my local NYC team. This is a really good trade. And it means we can start using Taylor as our closer. We've flipped Dominguez and replaced him with someone we can actually use in high leverage situations.
  3. Glad I want to bed at midnight and before this went down, or I too would have been up all night.
  4. He should have been given hazardous duty pay for sitting through those terrible seasons. Schriff is fine, I like his banter with Dan, they make a good team. The only person I don't want to do Sox color or play by play is Jay Mariotti.
  5. Good luck with the rehab.
  6. God I saw this at 3AM and couldnt sleep...them changing the deadline to Monday is horrible.
  7. sox still have a bunch of guys on the 40 Man that will need to be moved or traded if they want to add from other teams, I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet to be honest
  8. How does the Sox bullpen stack up stat wise against the rest of the MLB ?
  9. Huascar is fine. Coming into the year, he's more consistent than Dominguez and they do it different but they aren't/weren't all that different from an outcomes perspective over the duration of their career. I just hate giving up more assets for the bullpen (for a 6-7 inning guy). We've spent such a high % of our assets on the bullpen in the Getz era.
  10. Today

  11. Good move. Gabe Davis may become something under the Mets very good pitching development program. He didn’t seem to be improving with the Sox. Franklin was buried despite good stuff.
  12. That’s the only one I can think of. Maybe a pitcher.
  13. I miss the waiver wire when people would freak out when someone got put on it and 99 percent of the time it meant nothing.
  14. Didn't the Houser trade last year get announced late? Going way back i think the Loaiza Contreras trade too.
  15. Nothing in sports like a day in day out pennant race.
  16. I just wish we could win 8 or 10 games in a row so we have a bit of a cushion if we run into a bit of a losing streak, it is sort of amazing that the longest losing streak has only been 3 games.
  17. Now I know why you're Sleepy. Deadline Warriors never sleep !
  18. President and Founder of the Luis Castillo Club ! I like your stance and belief he can be better with some tweaks.
  19. Yeah, it’s not a rental but on the flip side we may not want the guy at $22.75 for next season and potentially $25 million for 2028 if he hits 180+ innings next season. It’s a bit surprising that Getz didn’t receive any cash considerations in the deal outside of dumping Seranthony’s money. The Brazobán trade was great. This one, not so much.
  20. Who's the next most expensive RP on the Sox ? Hicks
  21. https://nypost.com/2026/08/02/sports/benches-clear-during-guardians-diamondbacks-rain-delay-in-bizarre-scene/
  22. Doubt Adams is outpitching anyone this year at the big league level. Certainly not as a starter.
  23. Which Urena? Walbert Urena? Again, why would the Angels have ever traded away a 22-year old breakout starting pitcher with a 100 MPH fastball that was ranked right in the middle of their top 25 prospect list? Why do you seem to think he was ever available? Your constant thoughts on the Sox acquiring stud young players for practically nothing are quite simply delusional and never in the realm of any sort of reality. It’s like you are playing MLB The Show and overriding lopsided trades in your favor.
