  1. Past hour

  2. If a dinger isn’t hit into murky waters by the good guys, send it back…
  3. They know the state of the property and remediation is almost certainly already factored in.
  4. Is Nashville southside enough for ya?
  5. They will no longer be called the Bridgeport White Sox......oh wait, what? Nobody calls them that now anyway? Never mind.
  6. Can’t wait for the environmental studies to come up.
  7. Hitting dingers into the Chicago River would be for the tourists. Hitting dingers into the Cal-Sag would be for the Southsiders.
  8. Pretty much all underpreforming expensive players with long term deals on bad teams get put on waivers in August. Not sure why this idea is suddenly so shocking.
  9. I see everyone has brought their own rakes to this bake. Good, good.
  10. Between this and Beni last week, maybe we've got a pattern of guys showing out on "their" magic number day? Lots of low numbers left to keep it going: Newcomb #15, Colson #12, Chase #10, Teel #8, Doyle #7, Mune #5... And of course, you won't want to miss the Acuna #0 clincher performance.
  11. Solid player and by all accounts a great teammate.
  12. Let’s go Baltimore. With this few amount of games remaining, 3 games up seems so much better than 2 games up.
  13. ? Talking about them being DFA’d by teams or placed in waivers in August/September.
  14. 82-80 probably nets them the third wild card spot tbh. And 85-77 gives us the second seed
  15. Today

  16. While we’re at it, is Bridgeport even south enough? Ishbia move the team to Morgan Park you coward.
  17. The South loop is on the South side of Chicago. This is dumb.
  18. they will remain southsiders. it's not that deep.
  19. The Chicago White Sox are called "South Side" because their home ballparks have always been located on the South Side of Chicago. (over 126 years) Even most out-of- towners can understand our Southside pride - whether from the "Southside" jerseys or the use of names of past teams like "Southside Hitmen".. A great mural at Midway airport (which at least one Winnetka resident probably has not seen) commemorated the history of the White Sox on the South side. “You will not find a city in America whose love for the game of baseball runs as deep as it is does here in Chicago .For more than 125 seasons, the White Sox have been an iconic symbol of the South Side’s close-knit, never-back-down spirit. This mural perfectly captures the essence of the White Sox fan base, the South Side and the entire city, and we are thrilled to have this be among the works of art travelers see as they navigate through Midway.” -Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Commissioner Michael McMurray. I could not have said that better myself. The Crosstown rivalry, based in large measure on the respective Northside and Southside location of the Cubs and White Sox has fueled fan interest since that 1906 World Series. It will be a shame to lose that, possibly forever..and there is a possibility that some fan interest will be lost. So, once the team is moved to "The Railyards" it will be time to coin a new moniker and to create some promotional merchandise tied to that location. One possibility - call the team "The Rail Men." Other possible names escape me right now but I am sure others may have some suggestions. Surely one player should adopt Warren Zevon's "Night time in the switching yard" as their walk-up song. What a disaster.
  20. Those sound like pallid excuses for why you can't prove anything you're claiming.
  21. And you are making up BS scenarios that teams would be DFAing players in December that Getz could pick up on waivers, then go back in time and have them play in September. At least my claims work on a normal time/space continuum.
  22. I guess it really convenient, then, that you get to spout any BS you want without spending any time proving any of it.
  23. F$&@ you $&@hole. You've never said one interesting or informative thing in your life that I can recall. I honestly can't remember a single post you have ever written...yet you and DoUEvenShift get off on your stupid ass emojis ... as you tell others to ignore someone and yet still find time to pepper posts with childish reactions. Life is too short.
