It's crazy talk, i know, but i really think they can be a playoff team. Assuming Powell's play doesn't fall off the cliff, he's the perfect fit at the 2. We've heard it before, but supposedly Williams is looking good in the off-season(whatever that means) too. I'm not counting on it, but there was a 2 year stretch where he shot 40% from 3...If you can get that again he has his place on this team. They have 9 mill left to use on new free agents....theoretically they could use that 9 mill and THEN resign Simons/Sexton IF they wanted..... They also have a few trade exceptions which can be used to go "Over the cap," one of those being nearly 18 mill.

JR not being "the worst" owner instead being "one of" the worst owners is little consolation don't you think? The on-field record since the start of the 2007 season is one of the worst in MLB and it's clear for whatever reason JR doesn't seem to mind that fact.

The season itself hasn't been frustrating. It's been an unexpected joy a la 1977 and 1990. But it is frustrating to me anyway, that the Sox had kill shot chances three times and weren't able to close the door. They need to do what the Cubs have been able to do, put together a long win streak and start to put some distance on Cleveland. Maybe they can start that this weekend, we'll see.

I received a email from the White Sox today. They want season ticket holders to renew for the 2027 season before August 3, 2026. I don't remember them asking for our money so far in advance. I wonder what happens to the money if no games are played in 2027.

ESPN has the Sox playoff odds now at 65.6% up from 20.9% in May, the largest odds increase of any team. Conversely, it had the Guardians playoff odds in May at 88.7% and now at 72.4%. Sox trending in the right direction. I would venture to say Sox should be favorites to win the Central, and make the playoffs. You can put it on the board. Yes!
