  2. I don’t think trading Peoples is a big deal. He’s likely behind Davis, Gonzalez, Iriarte, and Pallette in the pecking order anyway. Why they wanted Hartl is beyond me.
  3. I had Borchard as a dark horse candidate
  4. Samonacci or Sammich for short.
  5. Falstaff replied to hi8is's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    Yosemite Sam
  6. Ishbia is not and may not be in the picture as you say next year when it is time to extend Mune. There is no way JR and the current organization will let Mune walk without offering him an enormous contract. He is too important to this team and to this city of great baseball fans. It would be like allowing Michael Jordan to walk. Not going to happen.
  7. But why male models? I thought I explained the potential thought process of losing him to free agency in 90 days unless he jumps like 10+ other guys on the depth chart very suddenly.
  8. If Shane Smith and Tanner McDougal are getting closer and Sandlin has already demonstrated he can contribute at the MLB level, then Peoples was expendable. In the 1/2 half I think the Sox relief pitching will have new faces with more specific roles.
  9. I was sure Thome would be one of those names
  10. Most likely why they let him throw the 9th.
  11. If Ishiba wasn't in the picture, I would bet dollars to donuts Mune isn't signed to an extension. Even with Ishbia's money it isn't a 100% lock for Mune to stay. It will be very interesting what direction the Sox go with Mune, Gonzalez, Bonemer, and possibly Roch.
  12. Yermin? The guy had like 100 good at bats in his entire MLB career.

Well a rough night for a lot of the farm. One bright side note, Wikelman Gonzales with a scoreless inning at AAA.
  14. Today
  15. I am hoping Schultz with a healthy knee gets back to form.

  17. You named two Hall of Famers and a flash in the pan catcher who couldn’t catch. Not sure how these are remotely apt comparisons for a guy we traded Ben Peoples for.
  18. Beni is having a decent year.Perhaps he could be traded for a pitcher. Have Gonzalez and Mune alternate betweeen DH and first Base.
  19. Schultz was considered one of the best LHP prospects in all of baseball, are you seriously asking if a fringe major leaguer like Schweitzer is better because he had one good appearance last night?
  20. Plenty of exceptions to that rule of thumb. Piazza, Bench, Yermin.
  21. But that makes him unavailable for days. I would imagine it is him.
