  1. Past hour

  2. I would agree - I don’t like losing him…think he is a league average ball player by my guess is they feel / better about Hays stepping up here?
  3. The Cubs and Sox are in very different places with who they are willing to give up, and rightfully so.
  4. There’s gotta be a non-contender that would claim Pereira.
  5. No Robbie Ray of sunshine
  6. Mason Adams isn’t our best pitching prospect and I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised by Doyle.
  7. C. I would vote F but I’ll give them credit for not moving any of our higher rated prospects trying to chase this season.
  8. Yea I was good with this deadline with Castillo, Brazoban and Bart. The Doyle move which basically got Pereira out is now the one I'm like huh... unless the hitting department really thinks Doyle can get back to where he was 2 years ago and his defense is miles better... I much rather have Pereira.
  9. Schriffen and Plesac is a better broadcast than Benetti and Stone.
  10. Ha, I compared him to a more serious wimpy, so I see it too, I just like how he works with Schriff. I'd think he'd work well with anybody.
  11. Fine. Nothing earth-shattering but also nothing to work myself into a lather over. I like the Brazoban, Bart, and Castillo moves. The Doyle trade confuses me, but the player dev side has earned some runway. Hope they are in a position to push more chips in next season, but I get why they didn't.
  12. Between the active guys and guys injured the Dodgers have two 5 man starting rotations. They not only didn't trade Lauer but also traded for Bubic. Active Skubal Yamamoto Sasaki Wrobleski Lauer Sheehan Status Unknown Ohtani Injured Snell Glasnow Bubic
  13. Yah, forgot about Hays for a sec. Figured he'd be traded for a bag of balls today. Guess we'll be seeing him back soon instead.
  14. Awful, but I’m not surprised. I told @Chicago White Sox to temper his excitement. Didn’t get two starters which is what was needed, not a scrub CF. Cubs managed to do it.
  15. Why are we so obsessed with Romo, he doesnt nothing good.
  16. Definite disconnect on what the Angels/this board think Detmers is worth vs what the rest of the league thinks. If Mason Adams/Boston Smith got that deal done, I'd like it. Have to think the Cubs would've offered them Rojas though which would've been a deal worth taking. Or maybe not, the Cubs could win the World Series this year and Holmes is strictly better. re: Stephenson, probably some calculus about keeping a guy that fans like and wants to be there and was probably returning a low tier prospect at best. Joey Bart for free is such a better option for the Sox.
  17. I think they don’t like him and would trade him if not for Teel injury
  18. Wonder if his Driveline trip was not looked happily upon.
  19. South Side SoxMLB trade deadline: Give Getz, White Sox a C+Average return earns an average grade
  20. I think this is Getz showing they are still priortizing development and they view it as Quero still has more stuff to work on. When he got sent down a month ago (and even recently when he was called back up after Teel's injury), it seemed clear they had a laundry list of items they wanted him focused on and hopefully he understands that and continues to work at it. My guess is right now they want to have Bart get the bulk of the reps and they are fine with Romo in back-up setting with Quero continuing to do what he needs to do (and getting far more reps down at AAA).
  21. I would assume Hays comes up and he is there if Hays or Grichuk get hurt or just suck
  22. And Pereira has a much higher ceiling
  23. C. They did get pitching help, but the position player trades were very underwhelming.
  24. Yeah when the team broadcaster is calling you fat, you’re in the dog house
