I don't like using Smith in the first simply because it takes him out of the equation later in the game. If he goes two strong and then the bulk guy gets them 5, that's cool but that's not how this seems to work for them.

We were only 3.5 point dogs at home with our 3rd string QB. I sure as hell didn't expect Keenum to look the way he did. He could have had 4 TDs today if Loveland got one more inch on his catch or if Rome knew how to catch. Caleb may have the arm and escapability, but he has a lot to learn in terms of pocket presence and getting the ball out on time. Imagine if Caleb could play like Keenum did today, getting the ball out under 2.5 seconds. The Bears offense would literally be unstoppable. You just hope that this injury gives Caleb some perspective and helps his development as a pocket passer.

Frustrating first half, fun second half

Fantastic. Caleb is a stud but there is a lot he can learn from seeing what the vet does while he watches for a week or two and then takes those learnings to elevate his game in the long run! Huge game by defense and excellent qb play and execution by coaching staff. Rome you made some catches later on but I want to see a huge game here soon. Get your swagger going cause too many TDS dropped last year and this year.
