  2. I wonder what Hunter Greene is going to cost someone, if he gets moved. Still feels like this year, the 4 start SSS, is the exception and not the norm.
  3. I don’t get why we’d move Adams to a relief role. If you’re afraid to add him to the 40 man roster, then keep him as a SP in AAA and treat as an insurance policy in the event other SP options don’t work out. But why create more of a roster crunch to add him to an already overcrowded bullpen? I personally think he’d likely be an upgrade over Schultz & Fedde right now.
  4. I mean, tailgating is basically 70% of the experience in going to a sporting event in Wisconsin.
  5. Wolkow, Boston, and more… For Peralta on a rental? That can’t be right.
  6. Problem i have is there's just no comp for success that I can find in the modern game. It means he needs to be a unicorn which I'm inherently skeptical of. Impossible? Of course not. Thats the great thing about baseball.
  7. Same with the Mets and Peralta
  8. Emotionally, I don't really want to part with Wolkow cuz he's a local guy that seems to be progressing. Obviously, he's expendable. Intellectually, I'm more attached to Boston Smith. Tearing up the Southern League is usually a very good sign. Semien was SL MVP and the Sox never really believed he was a top level prospect. That led to one of the more disappointing trades of the KW/Hahn era.
  9. I'd really hope to not incldue Smith
  10. He is? Ive posted this, but during that "good stretch" he was k'ing 6 guys per 9 and walking 4. No one is succeeding in MLB as a starter with that type of split.
  11. There's definitely some sunk cost fallacy when it comes to him. We traded Curtis Mead for him, who just got the Nationals a top 50 prospect. So there's probably a feel like we need to get something of real value out of him because we traded so much away.
  12. I definitely think there is likely major risk and he may be more of an eventual AAAA player. I won't pretend to know his dynamics around the tools they see in terms of swing speed, etc.
  13. I guess the concern with his profile is that he strikes out a lot. But he also walks a lot and hits for a lot of power. He might also not stick at catcher, which will affect his value as a prospect. He's also 23...so if he doesn't keep progressing like he has down in the minors, he might lose his prospect status in 2 years.
  14. blame Sleepy Harold if wrong
  15. I do also think is probable.
  16. Same. Trading any prospect is going to sting, but that guy has done nothing but rake at every level in his professional debut.
  17. Yup, if they're going to trade him (I hope not), hopefully it's not for a rental. I'd think that Wolkow, Mogollon, DePino, Lodise types would be enough for mediocre rentals even in this market.
  18. Yeah I'd hate to trade a catcher that's raking for a rental having a bad year like Peralta. I guess the good thing about Peralta is that he's only making $8 mil this year so he's cheap.
  19. A real rumor! Seems like a lot for a guy who is really struggling this year, and on an expiring deal, but maybe I'm overrating Boston Smith.
  20. Them, a Mason Adams, are all in play I think.
  21. Gross, as Peralta has been terrible this year. I do think Wolkow and Smith are two of the most likely trade chips they use.
  22. Is that a Mets leak...I'd say that is a pretty good deal for the Mets on an expiring starter who has been at best league average and in reality he's been a negative WAR pitcher this year. Club better think they have a way to fix things otherwise I don't see this being that attractive. I don't mind those names being dangled (although I think Boston Smith is going to keep rising).
