  1. Past hour

  2. Arsenal landing Vini Jr and the white Sox landing Mason Miller on the same day would go down as one of the greatest sporting days of my life.
  3. I am including his health issues in the short time he played this season.
  4. I see Colson is back in the clean up spot tonight, a mistake in my book.
  5. I mean I get the prospect hugging that happens during a deadline, but can we not act like he is the next coming of a sure thing? Even if his bat is for real, we have no idea if he can be a catcher or not.
  6. Some of the crowds down through the years at Sox park have been embarrassingly small in April and May mainly because of some of the frigid days. I’m sort of anti dome but if I knew attendance would increase dramatically in April and May because of a dome I would be all for it, I’m sure Ishbia could afford the extra bucks.
  7. If that's your impression of Boston Smith hitting 1.200 OPS, you should watch more baseball. Pipeline ranks Mathias LaCombe as a better prospect than Smith but he obviously isn't. Maybe we can trick the Mets into taking LaCombe and Lodise instead because the number next to their names is lower. Or pick up Marco Gonzales for nothing. That's what I would do. A rental with a 5 ERA is closer to a salary dump if you ask me.
  8. I don't think you can do qualifying offers to midseason acquisitions anymore.
  9. I wonder if the Sox can go 0 for the series in check swings again. Hmm, I just checked the opponent, and it’s not the Yankees, so I suppose there’s a chance of one of our hitters being able to hold up.
  10. Packaging him for who though? There's got to be a specific player in mind that is actually available. Do you swap Colson 1 for 1 for Hunter Goodman or Detmers? I wouldn't. And I'd like to see Goodman on the team. Do you trade him for a couple months of Skubal? According to some general principle, every player on the team should be 'available', but trading a stud player just for the sake of it strike me as shortsighted, especially if the rationale is "we just drafted a shortstop".
  11. Lip why you gotta poop in every punch bowl man. We get it, you are cynical
  12. Affiliate assignments reportedly expected tomorrow
  13. Every time I see Romo’s name in the lineup I die a little
  14. And I am willing to put him in this deal.
  15. Move him down or move him out. Check out his last 50 games stat line. He is a talented but flawed player. Don't know if it's a fatal flaw yet. He really is a roll of the dice.
  16. oldsox replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
Can he play Center Field? Anyone?
  17. Sure, which puts him firmly into a deal like this. It's like when the Sox draft the guy throwing 100 in college, but can't find the strike zone to save his life. Sure IF he puts it together he could be something, and he will get looks because of his loud tool, but the runway for him is much longer than others to get there.
  18. No doubt…but the same can be said for a toolsy LatAm teenager and those guys still have value. My point isn’t that Wolkow is super valuable, just that he doesn’t have zero value.
  19. when you look at our matchups I can't believe we ever win a game but we are also going to win this game.
  20. Guys that are traded aren’t eligible for QO’s.
  21. Needs one with his hand on his chin and it would be perfect.
  22. Pass. Really dont want to trade legit prospects for a rental especially one who has struggled this year
