  1. I hate to stop watching but this is too brutal for human consumption. I just can't see how anybody can pay to attend these games. You could go to the various minor league games around Illinois. I'd almost puke forking over real money to watch tonight's thriller.
  2. That was an embarrassing outing by the Sox. Horrible hitting. Nothing to write home about pitching. I'd DFA Elvis. No hard feelings; he's just done. I'd trade Moncada. It's blatantly obvious he has no joy to his game. I'd keep Robert, Vaughn and Tim and dump everybody else including the entire pitching staff. OK I guess I'd keep Cease for now. This team blows. (My show of choice during the game Ted Lasso.
  3. Yes but now the ball is jumping out of the park(s) and it's not our guys hitting them out. Hahn must be so proud of this unit.
  4. My goodness. Glad our scouts have approved Lambert being on the roster. That was one meatball leading to a majestic HR. Embarrassing loss again. Three hits LOL and one pitch that Fathom could have hit out. Sox continue to be the worst team in many of our lifetimes.
  5. I don't think the Sox are gonna score again this game unless somebody lucks into lifting and pulling one over the wall.
  6. As expected this game turns into a blowout. There are so many bad baseball pitchers in MLB it's hard to believe.
  7. Nice at bat Elvis ... not.
  8. I didn't realize Robert had as many HRs and RBI as he has. Not half bad, tho RBI mean nothing nowadays I've been told. It's kind of weird watching a game knowing Sox aren't going to win. We're not beating houston with our pen tonight folks. Chalk up another L.
  9. I find it hard to believe our season hopes ended in April. That's just unacceptably absurd. Sox dug this hole and Southsiders aren't dumb. They won't go to the games this summer. The Sox should scrap their ticket price plan and return to 1960s prices as penance for the season that wasn't. I mean nobody's going to go to games this summer which can't bode well for next season crowds either. What I'm saying is Sox management should scrap the ticket plan and charge $1 for upper tank seats the rest of the year and $7 dollars for all premium seats with free parking. It's almost impossible to be out of the race after one month but that's what the Sox were. The team is worth what $1 billion? Take $500,000 and start the free ticket giveaway with that money. If anybody goes to a game the rest of the season it's just to smell the green grass of GRate Field and enjoy a big league ballpark. So pay the fans to come. Shame on you White Sox being out of the race after 4 weeks. My gawd.
  10. If Renteria will save the front office some money and accept a low salary, bring him back now and send Pedro away. Or make Pedro a scout or something. Sox injury situation isn't getting any better and I'd rather have RR 'trying' to win with this awful roster than Pedro.
  11. The bottom three hitters in Sox lineup reek. I know Haisley is over .300 though. Lopez should be released. Mabe Liam will save the bullpen changing the roles. LOL on losing 3 of 4 to KC. KC has a very very historically bad team. But they had a guy Mike Massey who wanted to beat the Sox and he did. Can't remember a Sox team this bad ever. Sox just gave the Royals their first home series win of the season. KC has a very very bad team IMO.
  12. Stoney should be fined if he EVER again says the boys do not quit.
  13. Easy to resort to hyperbole but cmon ... these guys never quit?? We should NEVER hear that from Bennetti/Stone again. These guys DO NOT CARE. Case closed. The Royals have a horrible baseball team. 9-1 is one large LOL. Folks this pitching rotation all things considered is one of the worst in Chicago White Sox history. Cmon. Don't rat me out for hyperbole, just agree. And our STARS? Robert needs coaching so badly. Just fricking drop him a slider and you get him to whiff. We've got two major league bats on the the team 'maybe' in Vaughn and Burger. And Burger is so bad a fielder his value is not important. More hyperbole? Hahn should resign or be fired tonight. Case closed. This team reeks, is going nowhere and it's his fault. And his choice of Pedro? Cmon. Laughingstock choice. At least over the hill Tony had the team .500 somehow. My post may seem outlandish but I don't think so. This Sox team blows and it's Mr. Hahn's fault.
  14. When you look at the Sox record and this performance against the Royals you say "why am I am fan?"
  15. I think it's the injuries. Our team has a bunch of guys who get hurt ... a lot. These players know ultimately the injuries cost this club any chance at postseason play. They probably figure if Jerry and Hahn don't care enough to get the players the BEST training staff, screw it. Give half assed effort. Because of injuries, the players can't be counted on so the malaise. ... Oh yes, the pitching also blows. Players aren't dumb. They know our pitchers are gawd awful and don't give the team a 'good' chance to win daily,
  16. Cmon. Virtually all our guys have bad at bats. Robert?? He can look sooo bad up there. Vaughn when he's not hitting a bomb has horrific at bats. Grandal? LOL on his bad at bats and Elvis. ... It's not just TA.
  17. I'll take the win but my gawd those last 3 innings I watched were so boring. Those were two bad baseball teams. Wow. I will say this ... why was Kelly so good tonight; announcers here said he was throwing 100. Is he actually good? When Vaughn hits a HR he hits a HR. Some miserable at bats always but damn those HRs are bombs. Crushed.
  18. I caught the last 2 innings on the radio driving. Royals announcers were mocking the Sox pitching. Denny Mathews pointed out how bad the starters have been and said the bullpen has struggled. "After that, there's nobody left," he said to laughter. Lot of ball to be played in a four-game series. Losing all four would likely assure no advance ticket sales basically the rest of the season. Maybe on the spur of the moment this summer a fan might go on secondary market and buy a cheap ticket for a good seat. Losing three of four would keep things status quo, Sox fans realizing the team blows. Winning three of four would be another nice series win. Splitting would probably be fitting since KC blows too. We shall see.
  19. Lip Man you and fathom make great posts.
  20. That was a nice win. Like you said another series win. There's no margin for error so I hate to say anything positive about this season but as the weather heats up, perhaps this lineup will have very many high scoring games. It's laughable of course that Burger and Eloy and Moncaa are out of action so I am not a believer, but it's not out of the realm of possibility (can't. believe I'm writing this) that this team hits .500 at some point this season.
  21. Best wishes to Eloy. Life is more important than baseball. Hope he heals up. As far as baseball, Sox have to move on from Eloy. No need to say any more than that.
  22. Mabe I'm wrong about Elvis. That was a good play. Mabe his defense is worth the sub .200 BA and lousy overall hitting.
  23. This game isn't over just yet. But odds heavily in favor of Reds with our bullpen in now.
  24. Robert's hitting can be enjoyable to view. Hope he keeps those legs healthy. ... I see Eloy has some sort of problem again according to my Twitter. Abdominal pain or something. Nice double, Robert. Cmon Beni, RBI here.
  25. Nice home run. And nice 2B by Haseley. Sox are hitting pretty well in Cincy. Sadly the Elvis era in Chicago needs to end. Elvis cannot hit. My gosh, just bring in a second baseman and try the next guy. Elvis needs to leave MLB. Not good nuff anymore.
