Didn't most teams in all sports demand players get the shot(s)? I remember a lot of places were firing people for not getting the shot. I'll stop here before issuing an opinion that might get me in trouble on here.

That's true. There's no reason to welcome losing any more. The Sox have more than a handful of useful to very good players so might as well win this pathetic division. If the Sox are soon to become a perennial contender, a WS isn't out of the question in the next five years because anything can happen in the postseason.

This outfielder acquisition guy seems pretty good. I think I might buy mlb.com for first time in 3 seasons. I think we're a .500 team unless pitching is that important. Sox picked up some bodies who ought to be able to at least do as well as the Royals staff and they are projected to win the division. Frank Thomas got snubbed. I am so mad over this. He has to be everybody's favorite Sox player of all time. I mean, yeah some of the old, old old timer pitchers were amazing but Frank Thomas??? He IS the White Sox. The Sox should fix the graphic now and add him for one. For two, they should fire anybody and everybody who had anything to do with that graphic. And I'm furious about Bo. Reiner is one of the most talented individuals in history in any field along with his dad. His dad wrote all 35 Dick Van Dyke episodes per season. How the hell can one mind pull that off? And like u said: Spinal Tap to A Few Good Men and Harry Met Sally? All amazing movies, all different. And his acting ... that scene in All in the Family in which he thanks Archie for everything he did for him upon moving Gloria and the kid to California is so well acted it makes one tear up. And his acting in Spinal Tap, all improvised? WTH? He is a 10 out of 10. And even though I disagreed with his politics 100 percent, I don't give a flip about that. His brillance and intelligence deserved an audience. I saw him on some talk shows debating politics in a calm manner, not like most cable TV shows where they scream over each other. Rob Reiner rest in peace. The way he died saddens and sickens me. Disgusting. I love Rob Reiner even tho I never met him.

I see the offense as good with Colson leading the way and the guy from Japan to go with our two catchers. Beni is acceptable and this guy we just got in the trade hit four home runs in one game recently. Also Meidroth.

This guy is our closer. So he should be included as part of the Robert trade. Sox used the money to sign this guy. OK with the Acuna acquisition and adding two pitchers, Sox should be creeping close to .500 this season and mabe contend in this weak division. I wonder if they could land a starting pitcher even though starters only go five innings. ... The Sox have made some moves. The question is is our team a .500 club yet??

Acuna looked hitterish/homerish in that clip of the four home run game. He could look good in the lineup if he plays the outfield. If Getz acquires two good pitchers now with the savings maybe the Sox can go .500 or so. Use that Robert money to sign two veteran pitchers, no more prospects, have plenty of them.

True dat. Great game. Was a bit surprised the Bears lost in OT. I figured after the TD pass that tied it and had we won ranked in the top 10 individual plays in Bears history, that we'd indeed win in OT. Was disappointed at the interception but like everybody is saying it was a great season. No complaints, just sad, cause in a perfect world the Bears get another first down or two and kick the game winning field goal instead of throwing a pick. As a playoff only fan (I may pay a lot more attention next year now that I'm familiar with the team) I have no right to say anything but "thank u Bears for all the exciting wins and good luck as you try to win the division regularly and get some homefield advantage again in the future. The city woulda been hopping had the Bears completed the deal. No complaints here.

The league should want the Bears to reach the Super Bowl. It's been a while and our fave team has what TV wants. Great young quarterback to hype like they have done Mahomes. Great rookie tight end like they had with Kelce for years. Interesting coach. Great pass rusher in Booker. Great uniforms and great tradition. It's been a while. TV loved the Packers for a while, now they should be in love with Da Bears. It's time. The Bears are only gonna get better. Would be nice to reach the Super Bowl and see if our QB can reach legend status early in his career. GO BEARS.

Will the NFL even allow them to move to Indiana? Cmon, the team is the Chicago Bears. The NFL doesn't want them in Indiana. Calling them the Chicago Bears with them residing in Indiana would be weird and wrong. I agree even if they can save a ton of money they won't move to Indiana. I guess if Pritzger talks tough and doesn't back down at all, the Bears could take their ball and go home so to speak, but does anybody actually think they'd move to Indiana. I don't care how much they'd save it won't happen. What odds do you give a move to Indy? I'd say 5-10%.

Now that the Bears have a good coach and some good young players and are good again ... don't discount that in negotiations. Pritzker will soften. Bears will stay in Chicago. I still say Arlington Heights would be nirvana for them just like the Cowboys' complex, etc.

As far as the Cub ... Bregman's stats from last year (18 homers?? That's all?) make me think he's way overpaid by the Cub.

No matter what happens the rest of the season he was the leader of the biggest Bears comeback win over Green Bay in series history. He was so good.
