  1. So both Vargas and Peters ended up being great acquisitions. No argument there. Yet you can’t admit that these most trade deadline acquisitions absolutely sucked? Why not? They did. It’s a fact at this point. No one wants Castillo in the rotation, much less have him around next year and meanwhile Doyle barely even plays so he is a non-factor that wasn’t worth a trading away a viable starting pitcher for that has been better than Castillo. It was an awful trade deadline.
  2. Oh yes. One month is the equivalent to 21 years. Keep grasping at straws. @fathom had called out the Sox struggles against left handed pitching at the deadline.
  3. Getz ended up acquiring a LF/DH in Pham anyways, so why wouldn’t Adell have fit? Vargas was a bench bat until the second half of last season. He blew chunks. What is your question here? He panned out finally but he for sure sucked for his first full season of at bats with the Sox. Does Vargas improving at age 24 mean that 33 year old Castillo is going to improve next year in his age 34 season? Does that also mean that 28 year old Brenton Doyle is going to improve after 2 awful seasons in a row? Your comparisons and arguments don’t even make sense.
  4. But even you didn’t think the Sox would have this record or be in contention for first place, so you are full of s%*# for what you are trying to call everyone else out for.
  5. WE tried to argue that I didn’t mention Mason Adams’ most recent start because it wasn’t good and he gave up 3 ER in 4.2 IP. If Castillo could do that, no me would be complaining. WE is fucking delusional.
  6. I can’t wait to see the lingual gymnastics that are performed to respond to your question. 🤣
  7. WE literally said that he would have crapped all over Getz if he had traded for Jo Adell. Meanwhile, Adell would have been a better acquisition than either Castillo or Doyle, while potentially retaining Boston Smith and Mason Adams. @fathom has also posted numerous times how bad the Sox are against left handed pitching. Instead, Getz acquired a buster in Doyle that hasn’t been good for 2 year at Coors and the 38-year old rotting corpse of Tommy Pham… But once again, Adell would have been a horrible acquisition. So many WE homer takes…
  8. Whatever you say, old man Ron Willie. Your movie references suck almost as much as your hot takes on awful trades. 1 AB was never the point and you know this. Getz/Venable should not be the GM/manager providing a charity case for a 38-year old bum outfielder that has earned $38.5 million in his MLB career. You and WestEddy are struggling to defend a bad acquisition and it’s absolutely hilarious. If Pham needs help with his retirement after earning $38.5 million in salary throughout his career, he’s dumber than your current theories on why gave Getz/Venable acquired him in the first place.
  9. I’m not whining at all, but your arguments are weak as f***. You are grasping at straws to excuse what everyone else knows were bad trades. Getzpology is for real. And I would never have an HOA. I’m not a moron.
  10. He said a lot of s%*# that was intentionally dirty. So did Harry.
  11. Nothing wrong with that. He needs any time HR’s since he has missed so much time.
  12. But if the Sox winning percentage drops below their first half rate, are Getz’s deadline trades bad then? 😆 I didn’t even know about Adams’ most recent start until you just mentioned it, so I looked it up. Oh noes — 3 earned runs in 4.2 innings? Are you seriously trying to use that as ammo for your ridiculous defense of the Castillo trade, or the equally awful Doyle trade? If buster Castillo could only give up 3 ER through 4.2 IP pitched for the Sox, we wouldn’t be talking about what a terrible acquisition he was! 😆 Meanwhile, you never addressed my response about your theory that the Sox could be doing charity work for Pham’s retirement in the middle of a playoff race. That’s dumbfoundingly stupid if true, and deep down you know it as well.
  13. Yep, but I’m sure we all know where his loyalty lies.
  14. Nope. He probably envisions stabbing Schriffdawg everytime he hears it.
  15. That was definitely Hagen’s best outing of his early career.
  16. He’s very good. Makes me think Stone Pony is getting lazy.
  17. This inning is “YEAH BUDDY”-worthy.
  18. Thoughtful? So we are doing charity work during a playoff run rather than adding a player that isn’t a relic and steps away from retirement? That’s stupid and this attempt at excuse-making by you and Cali is absolutely hilarious. The roster spot is important because Getz already traded a better rotation option in Adams for a bum in Doyle that can’t hit a lick. Getzpologists and Getzsplaining are apparently a thing. 😆
  19. My son is at the ND @ Wisconsin game at Lambeau with his teammate. Section 114.
  20. Indeed. This is a team that thought it was wise to acquire a 33-year old former ace in the middle of a 5+ ERA season to fix him during their playoff hunt. Pitching was needed and is still needed. They unfortunately picked the wrong guy.
  21. Yeah, but what about adding a bad CF that can’t hit at all and barely plays? Much more important. Getz ran the trade deadline like a 12 year old playing MLB The Show on his PS5.
  22. You just want to see more outfield starts from Tommy Pham.
