  1. That kid needs a girlfriend.
  2. Anything with Bohm makes me wonder if he’d be packaged with Crochet to the Red Sox (who want to moved Devers to 1b) with the Sox sending Robert to Philly for some combination of prospects from both teams (mostly Boston).
  3. You’re right. 6th round and rounds so high they don’t exist anymore…same same. anyways, not worth a drawn out back and forth
  4. 6th round. Close though.
  5. He also had a hand in catcher development, which is especially interesting given it’s the Brewers.
  6. This is just so Soto will be able to take a break vs tough lefties.
  7. White Sox and Yankees have a combined 30 World Series. Pretty close!
  8. This would be my target from Boston, or De Paula and Hope from LA. i have an inkling they’d like to get a deal done before the December Winter Meetings.
  9. Seems like whether he should or shouldn’t be traded is an irrelevant point to argue. He’s going to be traded. The logical discussion is what for?
  10. Yeah that’s just it. They work. I think the teams that win year in and out have proven that. I don’t like the fact they work - I also preferred the game before they were around so much - but that doesn’t change the reality. So either keep up or get left behind.
  11. Not sure if mentioned already, but he’s a converted position player, hence why so old for his lack of pitching experience.
  12. KL can’t scout pitching for the life of him, but he’s usually good with hitting. I wonder what he saw with colson that left him so sour.
  13. There is some truth in here, but I think it’s exaggerated. Cairo is currently coaching with the Nats. Larussa won’t manage again bc he can’t. Ventura has no interest, and I suspect Coop doesn’t either. I also think Renteria could work again if he chose to. the only real, obvious guys that wanted to manage again and likely never will are Guillen and Grifol.
  14. Likely not a ton in the win column, but the right hire can make a tremendous difference on individuals breaking into the league.
  15. De Vries was a 17 y/o in A ball with a +.800 ops with plus speed and a good shot to stick at SS. Come on.
  16. It’s Detroit. They asked what’s 2+2 for 162 games. Hopefully they can crown a winner next year.
  17. Merge this with the Riley Greene thread.
  18. Nerds say the darndests things. I saw the writing on the wall years ago with the nerds. They’re destroying sports. They aren’t content destroying the world.
  19. I haven’t watched a lot of Colson this year, but watching this game he looks fine to me with his basically everything, other than he’s lunging towards the plate a bit with his front foot. It’s enough to get beat on heaters and get jammed. just a one game observation.
  20. Just say no comment you self righteous c***.
  21. Seeing as I don’t live in Chicago, most fans I meet aren’t Sox fans. A few will make jabs or laugh, but most are empathetic at this point. I found it more difficult to wear my Sox gear in 2005/2006 because everyone assumes you just jumped on the bandwagon, and suddenly you need to defend your fandom.
  22. I think the hope is he becomes what Adam eaton was for is, which was plenty good without that type of power.
  23. Baldwin is a 0.5 tool player. upgrade!
  24. Don’t worry fellas… 8th is where we get’em
  25. People like you take it beyond streaky though. You make it personal. Like “he doesn’t care” blah blah. That’s who he is. He’s not Soto. He’s Luis Robert, and he’s better at baseball than either of us will ever be at anything in our entire life.
