QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) I think Pitt is going to use Kang at SS. He's been a nice pickup for pretty cheap. Sox probably showed no interest in him. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 23, 2015 -> 04:11 PM) Lets just think about this. The Tigers traded Avi for Iglesias. The Red Sox did not get anyone from the Tigers. The Red Sox wanted Peavy. So bottom line, yes, the White Sox could have had Jose but they preferred Avi and that is why they were able to get a 3rd team involved to get the headliner that they wanted. I remember that trade thread. Everybody was upset because everyone thought it was Iglesias the Sox got. Before that I had posted wanting the Sox to get Iglesias because the reports on his gloves was he's magical. I was like woah ! I actually called a trade, but turns out it was Avi instead.

2015 White Sox offense - Historically bad

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 21, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) Literally it is hard to find a team that from a position player perspective is as futile as the White Sox, when you consider the trifecta of defense / baserunning / hitting. So you're saying the Sox are an elite team . Triple Crown of suck. -

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 08:33 PM) Anyone else notice the pitch Molina hit, Robertson tilted his head to the left? Maybe subliminally tipped what was coming on the next pitch. Before he threw it, I was wondering why he did it. Sure enough, outside part of the plate, and Molina may have seen that too. No wonder pitchers have the edge these days. Pitch after pitch Lynn goes for the outside corner mavbe the high strike also . But with the help of the ump he was getting a lot of strikes called there. I just wonder why a hitter who can guess a FB on the outer half is coming doesn't move closer to the plate during the windup. Yes i know that wouldn't give a guy time to dig in that back foot but still gives you a better chance to barrel it up. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) To be fair, Flowers really looks lost at the plate right now. Robin probably just didn't want to watch him bat again. WHen Flowers is going bad it's pretty sickening. I'm talking strategy , you know, what Robin gets paid for . More than likely Flowers K's but have to be thinking HR there not a single and pray for another single and another single . No big deal Shuck could've got a hit, a walk, a HBP and with his speed scored on a double. -

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 08:03 PM) A curious question... If Abreu is hurting and laroche hits better when he's playing 1b.... Why is Abreu playing 1b? Probably because he's getting paid $25M for 2 years to hit no matter where he plays , but you make sense. -

QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 08:19 PM) When you pinch hit for Flowers, Soto has to pinch hit for our weakest hitter due up next right? How on earth can he not use Soto there? Kind of weird he pinch hit for Flowers. Not that it makes much of a difference but there's always a chance Tyler runs into one to tie the game up since he's big lumox but Shuck won't hit a HR . Only power on the bench is Beckham and Soto and neither was used . Rosenthal is RH but if Ventura thinks the Sox get 3 straight hits to tie it he's crazy. Have to think HR in that situation even if Rosenthal gives up very few. -

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 22, 2015 -> 08:14 PM) You're acting like he's the only left-handed hitter who gets this shift put on him. Not even close. Rizzo gets it too. So does Ortiz and a lot of other good left handed hitters. Changing their approach to hit the other way would likely take away more than it would give. Unless you're Mike Moustakas who has learned to hit the other way and also is 5 for 5 in bunting hits against the shift. -
