The real headline should be: White Sox add a front-of-the-rotation starting pitcher! Jose F'ing Contreras. Wow. If he can keep this up and keep doing whatever it is he figured out (i.e. confidence, location, etc.) the Sox are a much, much, much stronger team down the strech and into the playoffs. I just can't stress enough how big this could be for the ballclub.

Your name is Ross Gload. I have no problem with the guy feeling this way...and, heck, I may even agree with him that he deserved a roster spot over, say, I dunno... But, you cannot voice that sort of opinion at this point in the season. s*** happens. Nothing good is going to come out of opening your mouth and voicing that sort of opinion. I can't stress Jose's importance to this ballclub down the strech. I mean, are you kidding me? If he continues to pitch the way he has--that is, the way he is capable of pitching--that will be like adding a front-line starting pitcher at the deadline. JOSE, KEEP IT UP!!! ...awesome game and a whole heck of a lot of fun to watch.

Something clicked!!!! We all read about Brandon learning a lot from his short time up with the big-league club and taking it with him to Charlotte. It clicked. He's looked awesome.

Hey, Chimpy, just a friendly word of advice that I'm sure those near and dear to you offered when choosing colleges. Don't select your school because you are a fan of their athletics. I remember you asking what my expierence here at the U of I was and I just wanted to remind you that it's a freaking fantastic school with a great collegiate expierence, right in your own back yard for a great price.
