  1. Yeah, and the line that last years hitters only knew what a pitcher threw and how hard. Grifol doing all the stuff I like to hear, but this is pretty table stakes across mlb for years, since 2018 at least.
  2. But the difficulty for Chicago vs Miami is timing. Miami had already been able to draft a Jaylen waddle. The bears starting from years of lack of first round picks means very few young blue chip players
  3. Doesn’t it make you feel bad for fangio? Blaming the guy for not getting you to the playoffs with drew lock starting last 4 games in the hardest division in football. Then they fire him, give next guy Russell Wilson, and he finishes as the 3rd worst team in a much weaker year. Like in what world was any of fangios teams supposed to make the playoffs. And honestly they may have had a shot if bridgewater didn’t get hurt last year.
  4. Remember fangraphs threw Zack Burdi into the top 100 too. Longenhagen consistently does the dumbest s%*# and it’s extremely hard for me to still care about his writeups.
  5. Figures. So statcast on his few throws show an above average pop time (same as Austin hedges), and definitely a weaker arm but still better than Grandal. In fact his exchange was like third fastest.
  6. I think it’ll end up being wrong. He was actually excellent at throwing runners out until last year. Using the total stolen bases should keep in mind Charlotte had the worst pitching staff in the INtL league AND the new pickoff rules were in effect. I know his arm has been considered below average, but hanging a 30 on it…I doubt they’d spend time on a catcher with a 30 arm.
  7. Yeah this wind is brutal. If bears had an offensive line this is an easy win.
  8. Lol true. Also after some good podcasts this week I think I’d just as soon draft Anderson Jr or carter. Not a huge fan of what’s behind them
  9. Romys versatility should play in his favor
  10. I imagine lineman would be attracted to a run first team
  11. This has to be the prototypical trade for why I don’t like paying the premium for control rather than straight talent.
  12. I’m not saying dbacks did bad it just seems they have been swapping young current core for upcoming core for years. But like, not to same success as Rays.
  13. Feels like dbacks have just been in this perpetual almost there rebuild with the marlins too
  14. It was good with Goldstein, then tanked
  15. Always good to get another viewpoint…but longenhagen gets the least live looks of any of these guys and much less of a scouting network than law. That said if you take the negative on Sox system you are more likely to be right. Yet not sure a Sox fan that follows their prospects will learn anything for his writeups.
  16. I think Zach Wilson is bad but also boy that franchise and coaching staff were not ready for a young qb
  17. Reminds me of the 2021 tigers parlaying that to 2022 success.
