He seems to have been quiet benched recently. Including the date, he has started 2 games since Apr 29 and he currently has an OPS 14 points above where the infamous Martin Maldonado finished 2024.

I love watching the power and hitting happen, but even this week was 10k in 30pa. He needs to figure out a way to get that number back into the 25% range if he is going to make it. This season is even 37k in 122pa, or 30.3%

They aren't dumping Acuna six weeks into the season. It might be nice to dream of other back up QBs, but it ain't going to happen quick. His being out of options being the primary reason for it.

And Jerry has already started the same process on the west side near the UC. This is OBVIOUSLY something they want, and something they feel won't work in Bridgeport, for whatever reason. It is also hard to argue with the fact that they have been there for 125 years, and nothing is currently there to any extent around the park. And the whole, "walk five blocks and find this bar" thing isn't what I am talking about. The most successful model is of a sports arena as an anchor tenant in a mall of entertainment. With the White Sox dead last in MLB in revenue, of course they are looking at ways to expand that number appreciably in the future.
