Broadcaster Change for Cub-Sox Games
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 13, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Thats great news!! Hey speaking of our broadcasters- I really enjoyed the trio of DJ-Robin-Hawk last nite. There weren't any of those long-awkward periods of silence. No doubt, that was the best broadcast of a Sox game I have heard in a long, long time. I loved it.

National ID Cards
QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ May 13, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) Sounds good to me, as long as they don't charge an arm and a leg for it. They are going to be expensive. The states have already begun b****ing about how much it is going to cost up upgrade to be able to check all of this info, and it will also make on-line renewals impossible.

Knights IF Martinez
What is going on in the Sox minor league system? Between the steroid suspensions, this, and the other players that have been suspended, this has been a little nuts. Is this typical to have this many problems?

pick to clicks
The Pick to Click is decided by Hawk, period. I noticed that you are relatively new here, and did want to let you know that we do a Soxtalk version of the Pick to Click over on the contest board. Check it out.

5/13/05 Game Thread - Sox's vs O's Part 2
A win tonight really sets the Os back on their heels and puts the pressure on them. If MB can go out and get this one tonight, look out.

Preston Wilson
Preston Wilson isn't even hitting anything this year while playing half of his games in Denver... that is all I need to know. As for any Colorado pitcher, there is no way I want them on our team this year. The thin air just saps a pitchers recovery ability, and it seems to take them about a year or so to get back to normal, if ever.

May Quotes of the Month.
- Buehrle story on ESPN...
QUOTE(The Critic @ May 13, 2005 -> 04:35 AM) Here's a fun game to play on a Cubs fan: Tell him "Well, I gotta admit it....the Cubs drafted the two best pitchers in baseball right now...." ( Wait for the smile to rise on his face ) "....Jon Garland and Dontrelle Willis....too bad they were too stupid to keep them....by the way, how are Matt Karchner and Matt Clement doing for the Cubbies this year?" ( Enjoy watching the smile fade away ) That my friend, is quote of the month material.- Sox vs O's 05/12/05 Game thread - Jon G vs Chen
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 13, 2005 -> 06:10 AM) Here's a little tidbit of information that I don't recall seeing mentioned anywhere in PHT .... With the Twins idle yesterday, the Sox lead has increased to 5 full games!!! And that is the best result of all. Every chance we can get we need to bury the Twins as early as possible.- Tim Kurkjian's underachievers...
And we are still 26-9- FUCK ROB NEYER
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ May 12, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) Why Not? Because then you show yourself for who YOU are. You're are unaccepting of a person who makes a mistake. When said person then admits the mistake you call them pitiful for admitting the mistake.. I'm done, obviously you're not going to admit that you can't have it both ways, and if you do... Well, you're pitiful :rolly. Jabroni, you have got your ass handed to you. I would hang it up and backtrack Neyer-style.- AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 12, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) Robin's done. Hawk said thank you for the past 4 days, as if he's sending him off. I liked him though. Jon G! 26-9! I listened and watched the broadcast today, and that was an excellent 3 man booth. Too bad they won't do this for every game. Robin is indeed done for now, as he basically said his wife wouldn't let him broadcast right now. The Uribe HR call was priceless. For those who did not see or here is, the pitch before Juan went yard, he lost control of his bat, and it went flying into the crowd. At first Juan went over to retrieve his bat from the crowd, but the crowd all started to boo, so Uribe waved it off, had the batboy give the bat back, and went over to the dugout and got a new bat. Hawk started blathering about how in the old days they were really attached to their bats, and they would have never given it up, etc, etc. So then promptly Uribe goes over the pen with the next pitch, and then Robin starts giving to Hawk, hardcore. "Ya see, all he needed was that new bat" It was priceless. Jon Garland was excellent and in control at every step of the way. That K of Tejada was the stuff that legends are made out of. At times he looked like he was almost putting on a guy here and there just to stay loose out of the stretch, and to work on his double play pitch. He was incredible tonight.- 3 Sox Minor Leaguers Test Positive for Steroids?
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Yofu was released yesterday so the Sox must of known. I was just thinking the samething. They must have told the teams before they released the info. I take it Toca is gone now too?- how much would you pay?
Absolutely nothing. f*** the Cubs. Why would I want to give them, or any of their fans my money? Spend your money at our own park, on our team.- Interesting proposal on rebuilding WTC towers

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ May 12, 2005 -> 01:35 PM) I've just finished reading the whole article. "If the West went to war to stop Hitler from dominating Eastern and Central Europe, and Eastern and Central Europe ended up under a tyranny even more odious, as Bush implies, did Western civilization win the war?"
