  1. The reason probably is he is aware one of the teams that would maybe want him is the White Sox. Players with limited no trades many times put the teams most likely to trade for them on the list to basically give them a full no trade. Then, if they get traded there, they get some concessions. For instance, if Bryce Harper had a limited no trade, there would be no reason to put the Pirates or Indians on the list. They would never pick up the contract. But the Mets would probably be on it. And he would want something in return for waiving it.
  2. If James McCann is the answer, 2023 is going to suck.
  3. Cohen is worth $17 billion. I was reading up on him. If he loses $200 million a year the next 10 years, it doesn't matter to him. If JR risks losing $100k, he freaks out.
  4. Not only that, the contract was backloaded. If the Mets want to get rid of him, they are going to have to eat a ton of the contract and get s%*# back.
  5. What is the fascination with James McCann. Especially if you think sending Gio the other way is a good idea.
  6. Yes. Other than that, it makes perfect sense.
  7. Trevor Bauer's best bet of ever pitching in a MLB game again is if Jerry Jones buys a baseball team.
  8. Brett Myers was no better. Probably worse as there were witnesses of him beating his wife on the streets of Boston. For some reason, the Sox didn’t get much grief for acquiring him. But they would and should if they went after Bauer.
  9. Do you think Bellingers drop off after a right shoulder injury has suppressed Confortos market after a right shoulder injury?
  10. Not charged, but the league did investigate and didn't let him play for a year and a half. Easy pass for me.
  11. They are currently in arbitration. They may owe him some money, and if they do, they will also owe some luxury tax.
  12. So is the message to Eloy you’re now pretty much a full time DH, or is Eloy on his way out?
  13. Yeah but if you’re getting your info from Fangraphs, Gallos projected WAR in 2023, which is all most of us really care about, is half of ABs. 5 years vs. 1 year, I will give that to you, but we will see. I think the ball is going to have a little more juice in it in 2023.
  14. Just throwing to the correct base or hitting the cutoff man will be a huge improvement.
  15. You guys thought the Sox were signing Benintendi. They are signing Benitendi. JR saves a few bucks. He's buying a knock off.
  16. Sox record with Rick Hahn as a GM. We whine about nothing. This is great. For someone complaining about whining, you sure do whine a lot.
  17. That's because his sources didn't want it coming out. They are only good with the fake info that he tweets.
  18. If Robert is healthy, he's got big power. Colas, i would think would be surpressed as a rookie. Benen10D has hit some in the past. Eloy as a DH is a 40 HR guy if he stays in the line up. This is one of the better options. This guy at least works a count.
  19. Hopefully it's not announced on a news dump Friday afternoon. If it is, it's going to be someone not so good IMO.
  20. The Nets got fined for sitting 8 of their best players the other night. They won. Shouldn't the Pacers be fined for losing?
  21. I think its crazy to count on him, especially if the goal is multiple championships. But he looks like he could be fun to watch. One of these has to work out sometime, right?
  22. looking at both rosters, its pretty evident KW, RH and JR have no idea what a good OF looks like.
  23. He’s owed $24 million the next 2 years. The only way Rick can have him is if the Mets eat a lot of money. I’m thinking they are going to have to do that.
  24. One year after the Sox wouldn't give Rodon a QO,he was paid $21,5 million by SF, and guaranteed $162 million by the Yankees. How do these clowns still have power to make baseball decisions?
  25. If Robert, TA, Eloy and Moncada can't play 125-140 games, they are screwed no matter who they sign.
