  1. Someone might want to mention to Tony that the team supposedly playing for a division title lost 8-3 to a team that had a fire sale a couple of weeks ago, and is playing for a draft pick.
  2. I do think that anyone here who ever posted or even thought Hawk was a dope for firing Tony, apologizes to him, even just to yourself. He was on to something.
  3. He's all for keeping things "in house", but likes to tell reporters he has an issue with Cueto saying this. Why isn't that kept "in the familty"/ The guy has always been a poser. He's a punk.
  4. Next season, I'm pretty sure Tony will be gone. But you can bet your 401k they will be crying poor and blaming Sox fans for not selling out the place this season while they were "contending" for a playoff spot.
  5. Just to put things in perspective, this Royals team is bad, and that's before they traded Benentendi and Merrifield. The Sox are hoping for a split. The only game they won, they squeaked beating a KC pitcher with an ERA over 6.00 and Salvy Perez taking an evening off. There is zero sense of urgency with this team. They did nothing at the deadline, and do nothing about poor game after poor game. Nothing is going to change the rest of the season. We've been waiting for something to show up that isn't going to show up.
  6. I just don;t understand batting him 5th. He's a singles hitter in 2022. And not a premier one either. And I am no Yaz hater, but watch the games Tony.
  7. Had to get Yaz's bat in the line up. Tony must get drunk at breakfast.
  8. Fire Tony and put Leury on bereavement.
  9. He hurt it on a check swing his last AB.
  10. Gee Steve, you weren't whining about TA in 2020.
  11. Footlong is so full of it. He keeps his job if the Sox light up a guy with an ERA over 6.00. He is replaced if not. How much sense does that make? The White Sox win when they hit home runs. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what they need to focus on
  12. There is probably a 95% chance they are replacing him after the season, so why wait with so much on the line?
  13. They had 2 starters in 2020. They could have beaten Oakland, but that was about it.
  14. How dare Sox fans complain about their performance this year. Look what they gave you in 2020.
  15. When Rick took over as GM, one of his first mistakes was giving Jeff Keppinger a 3 year contract. He lasted one season putting up a .600 OPS. He obviously didn't learn. He gave Leury a 3 year contract for around the same money if you factor in inflation. Luery has a .500 OPS. It's time for Rick ro go.
  16. I do think signing a couple of lefties is a must. If the shift is gone next year and someone actually plays 2B instead of short RF, some guys are going to get a lot more hits.
  17. April. Its the first time they are 2 over since they were 6-4.
  18. I would go to Helmet Night, but they don't do that one anymore. Many years ago, I went to a game with my dad and it turned out it was Umbrella Night. Sure enough, it rained during the game.
  19. Apparently the Blue Jays didn't confirm with Merrifield he would get vaccinated before the trade.
  20. Rick couldn't improve the team during the offseason, and couldn't improve the team at the deadline. The team needs improvement. You don't need degrees from Harvard, Michigan and Northwestern to know what needs to be done at the GM position.
