60 is going to be tough in Oakland

Its going to be very different, but these guys do play spring football anyway, and I am sure hitting in practices will be at a minimum for the spring and next fall. I agree a lot of high picks won't be playing, but that's a small price to pay vs. death or long term heart issues. It was a horrible trade. I wonder if the Sox would have made it if Big Game James wasn't related to Aaron Rowand. But Tatis never suited up for the White Sox organization. No one knew what he was or else his bonus would have been a lot higher.

He could if all he was going to do is pinch run. Ryan Goins is a 32 year old pinch runner with 6 career stolen bases. Obviously, when TA gets back, maybe even today, Ryan is probably gone, so it would have just delayed another move which would have been Basabe. Zavala is probably safe because they need a catcher in Schaumburg.

They called up Anderson. Ryan Goins really serves no purpose. TA and Madrigal are hurt and he still only pinch runs. He's obvious as well. All in all, it really isn't a big deal, but the Sox still have several guys who suck. At least you can't go easily 15 deep with easy DFA if needed decisions anymore.

Just to get an idea of JR's weath, ARod, who probably made more money playing baseball than anyone ever, and J-LO, an entertainment mogul, can't come close to buying the Mets. JR has the Sox, worth about as much as the Mets, and the Bulls, according to Forbes, worth almost double that. The move to get rid of Leila came from above. I doubt she was making very much. She supposedly lives in a 650 sq. Ft. apartment. But that station is weird. They eliminated Dan Hayes and the guy who was writing for the Cubs. They both wound up at the Athletic. Then they hire Gordon Wittemayer and Adam Hoge to do the same job.

I like it, especially with 28 man rosters. Not having it would make the games even longer.

I think it's there only choice. Jim Harbaugh can cry how Michigan has zero positives, other than the fact that they are probably due one or two, if they play another school, the amount of faith you put on that other school for what could be a life or death situation, and even if college age people tend not to die, other complications like the heart thing that is out there now, to risk that for a football game, isn't too bright.

Hopefully, Ricky will come up with a line up that pisses most of the board off. Seems they score a lot of runs when that happens, and not too many when the line up is actually liked.

Ozzie hasn’t been on since those comments. Maybe it is coincidence and he had the days off planned, or many he got a double secret suspension. I do think Scotty Pods from the home office is a waste of time. i think Ozzie is probably a pretty good guy, but his Swisher comments show why he is not in any dugout. You give him a platform to say dumb things, he will say dumb things, and it today’s cancel culture, he wouldn’t last 2 months in a dugout. He”s back.

Detwiler is one bad inning away from DFA status on this board. And deservedly so.

I am not a Renteria guy, but all he did was say Bummer said he thought he had a bad cramp in his bicep, when describing what happened, and that he hoped it wasn’t a major issue. What is wrong with that?

He is an opener. This makes a lot of sense especially when teams platoon and you don’t have a starter who can really give you 5 solid innings anyways. This way, you can get them to burn their platoons early. It really makes no difference if he pitches the 1st and 2nd inning vs. the 5th and 6th physically.

We get to hear ARod . He has some weird things going on with his speech. Sometimes it is normal, and sometimes he adds an h on to every word that ends with s. He will say playersh or pitchersh. And then pronounce it like it’s normally pronounced.

If the pitching holds up, this team will be really good. Probably not this year. The are a little short. Giolito, Kuechel, is a good start. Hope Cease and Kopech are close to what we hope. Lopez could go either way, but at the very least, a bullpen piece. Dunning, Steiver, an acquistion as a back end guy. I think the Rodon ship has sailed. They should be really good. But now that you have to send Gio Gonzalez out there every 5th day at this stage of his career, it's not happening this year. Enjoy the development and hope the pitching can stay healthy.
