Interesting Unemployment Numbers
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 19, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) Which I would argue is due to millions of people being here to take their jobs cheaper. Take a look at how many H1B Visas are allowed each year. Wouldn't it be better to focus on keeping those jobs for Americans than worrying about minimum wage jobs?

Interesting Spin
A better slump buster is sticking bats in an inflatible doll. With the offense running so smoothly, I'm surprised anyone would risk upsetting that apple cart. Ozzie has sent some strange messages to players before, telling them they all suck and putting him in is just another one of those messages. As long as Oz is managing, we'll see one or two of those per season, and they will get increasingly strange.

Interesting Unemployment Numbers
QUOTE (jasonxctf @ May 19, 2010 -> 03:32 PM) do they have college degrees? 2 do, 1 does not. All three have familes, are in the middle years of careers, 10-15 years of experience.

Interesting Unemployment Numbers
The only unemployment number I'm looking at is 3, the number of friends of mine who are still unemployed and who have established work records.

Arizona requires you to carry your papers
There is a whole lot of meaningless comments, political posturing, and hollow gestures happening.

Arizona requires you to carry your papers
QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ May 19, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) Tex, i can't recall, but does the law say what form(s) of ID would meet their requirements? 1. A VALID ARIZONA DRIVER LICENSE. 40 2. A VALID ARIZONA NONOPERATING IDENTIFICATION LICENSE. 41 3. A VALID TRIBAL ENROLLMENT CARD OR OTHER FORM OF TRIBAL 42 IDENTIFICATION. 43 4. IF THE ENTITY REQUIRES PROOF OF LEGAL PRESENCE IN THE UNITED 44 STATES BEFORE ISSUANCE, ANY VALID UNITED STATES FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCALGOVERNMENT ISSUED IDENTIFICATION.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ May 19, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) Tex, i can't recall, but does the law say what form(s) of ID would meet their requirements? I read where they would not accept, in most cases, out of state driver's licenses because some states do not make citizenship a requirement before driving. In the first arrest they required the defendant's wife to bring in a birth certificate.

Arizona requires you to carry your papers
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 19, 2010 -> 11:24 AM) So what? A state FINALLY grows some balls and acts for their (its citizens) interests. I like it. Every state should be that way. I do not believe a law that will result some of their citizens having to carry citizenship papers is looking out for all their interest. Perhaps you mean passing a law looking out for the intersts of white citizens.

We'll see how AT&T does today. After two missed appointments and requesting that I gain them access to their easement in a neighbor's yard, they are suppose to be out this afternoon.

Report: Obama to nominate Kagan to Supreme Court
QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 17, 2010 -> 09:34 AM) Because we did something stupid in the past doesn't mean it's a-okay to continue doing it now or in the future. Supreme Court Justices should be *required* to have massive real world on the job experience in addition to classroom experience and/or teaching experience to even be considered for such a position. These positions are for-life terms, so it's not like a "trial run" to see if they can do the job, and if they can't, we replace them. On top of that, let's add in that they're appointed by government, NOT the people, and they can't be replaced by the people if they prove to be totally incompetent. I apply this to any important position in life, on the job or otherwise. I wouldn't want a medical professor with years of lecture experience performing a major surgery on me without prior surgical experience, just as I wouldn't hire a college professor with years of teaching experience to secure a banks network with no prior non-book field experience, either. Judges with experience develop a logic pattern in making their decisions. The cases that get to the Supreme Court do not fit the routine stuff. If you look at the list of Justices that had no prior experience there are some outstanding justices. A partial list of the 40 out of 111 without any prior experience as a judge: John Marshall, William Rehnquist, Earl Warren, Louis Brandeis . . . Are you really suggesting they were mistakes? If that is the case, a third of the justices that have ever served are mistakes.

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!
I was busy moving and checking updates on my phone. It seemed like I checked ten times when it was 1-1. When it popped up WINNER! I gave a little yell and the "will work for food" guys looked at me like I was crazier.

(Insert Celeb Here) is Dead
Doesn't that begin what could be the greatest commercial art sale ever? I believe he kept all the original Conan paintings. When I was looking at paintings that have sold for $1,000,000 and up, I was surprised to see his name. No telling how much his heirs stand to make.

Yep. My gf was on the phone holding for 24 minutes and was cut off. Then when I went to call at 4:55 they were closed until Monday. Good thing my neighbor has an open network. Nice welcomeing gift lol QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 15, 2010 -> 06:26 PM) They want YOU to gain access to your neighbor's yard? Last time I checked, there should have been utility domain, and that's their job.

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!
I have only seen a few games but it seems like there are two Hawk teams. The one that could finish 8-0 and the one that could finish 1-4. I wish I knew which one was showing up this afternoon. Better yet, I wish I had a TV that worked. They f***ed up my install.

Seriously, can anyone or anything smear his legacy worse than he already did? QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2010 -> 09:18 AM) He can't blame Steagall-Glass or he smears his own legacy.

Isn't the market wage created by the people who are willing to take the job? QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2010 -> 10:23 PM) And if we don't care about people willing to take less money than the market wage, why do we have a minimum wage?

AT&T f*** them already. They want me to gain access to my neighbor's yard for them to go hook up! Seriously wtf?? Direct couldn't find my house even though my next door neighbor has Direct. 0-3 in utilities, the stench of Sox is starting to take over the new house.
